To stream a pre-recorded Indian wedding video on YouTube Live, send it through an encoder to a YouTube Live Control Room stream. Create or schedule the stream, enter its stream URL and key in an encoder that can play or route a local file, test the actual 4K/60 footage and audio, then start the stream after checking YouTube’s preview. YouTube’s current English guidance recommends 35 Mbps video bitrate for 4K/2160p at 60 fps using H.264. A stable connection, music rights, and a local backup matter just as much as the resolution.

What you need before you start

  • A YouTube channel eligible to livestream. It must be verified and have no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before the wedding replay. YouTube’s encoder setup guide explains the activation process.
  • The original video file, with its actual resolution, frame rate, codec, audio tracks, and duration checked. An export label alone does not prove the file is genuine 4K/60.
  • An encoder workflow that supports playing or routing a prerecorded file. YouTube’s general setup instructions do not specify file-loading controls for each encoder, so consult the chosen program’s current documentation and test it with your file.
  • A reliable internet connection with sufficient upload capacity for the selected bitrate plus headroom.
  • Permission for the video, music, and any other third-party material to be streamed to the intended audience and territories.

YouTube separately lists Gyre as a tool for continuous prerecorded-video streams, with 4K at 30/60 FPS support. That is a capability described in YouTube’s encoder listing, not an independent performance test or endorsement. For a one-time wedding replay, a locally operated encoder gives you direct control; a recurring or continuous loop may call for a cloud workflow instead.

Set YouTube’s 4K 60fps stream settings

Resolution, frame rate, and codec

Choose 3840 × 2160 output at 60 fps only if the source is genuinely 4K/60 and your playback and encoding setup can sustain it. YouTube supports H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 ingest. The bitrate figure most relevant to a conventional H.264 setup is 35 Mbps for 4K/2160p at 60 fps, as listed on YouTube’s English live encoder settings page. YouTube’s cited search result lists 10–40 Mbps for AV1/H.265 at that resolution and frame rate; confirm the current values and codec-specific guidance in YouTube’s settings before the event.

That video bitrate is an encoder target, not a guarantee of uninterrupted streaming or a complete connection-speed requirement. YouTube recommends leaving 20% upload-bandwidth headroom. At a 35 Mbps video target, that means planning for at least 42 Mbps of stable available upload capacity for the stream alone, with additional capacity if other devices or services share the connection. YouTube notes that a shared network can constrain a stream even when the connection’s headline speed looks adequate. See YouTube’s streaming tips.

  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.

  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Keyframes and latency

For RTMP/RTMPS, use constant bitrate (CBR) and a two-second keyframe interval; YouTube says not to exceed four seconds. YouTube’s guidance says the low-latency improvement option is unavailable for 4K/2160p. For a wedding replay, prioritize a stable, correctly configured feed over trying to reduce latency.

Set up and test the prerecorded stream

  1. Enable livestreaming in advance. In YouTube Studio, confirm the channel can go live. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours.
  2. Create or schedule the event. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream. Scheduling can create a watch page for guests to find in advance. Set the visibility to suit your event, but remember that private or unlisted visibility does not remove copyright obligations.
  3. Copy the ingest details. In the Live Control Room, copy the stream URL and stream key into the corresponding fields in your encoder. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone with it may be able to send a feed to your event. Do not share it publicly.
  4. Load the file using your encoder’s supported workflow. Select the prerecorded video or route its playback into the encoder, following that program’s current instructions. YouTube’s general encoder guide does not establish a universal file-loading method, so do not assume every program has the same controls.
  5. Configure output. Set 3840 × 2160 at 60 fps if the source and system support it, select the codec, apply CBR and the keyframe interval guidance, and set the codec-appropriate bitrate. For H.264, YouTube’s current English page recommends 35 Mbps for 4K/60.
  6. Run an unlisted or private test. Use the same file segment, soundtrack, motion, encoder, computer, and network intended for the event. Confirm the image, sound, frame rate, and Live Control Room preview, and check stream-health warnings. YouTube recommends testing with similar movement and audio.
  7. Start sending the feed before guests arrive. Start the encoder, confirm the incoming preview is correct, and then start the live event in the Live Control Room. Monitor picture, audio, and stream health throughout.
  8. Keep a local recording. Eligible live streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived by YouTube, but YouTube recommends recording locally too. A local copy gives you a backup if the stream or archive is interrupted. See YouTube’s archive guidance.

Clear wedding music and footage rights first

YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content. If it detects a match, it may replace the live picture with a placeholder; if the material remains, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. A live stream can also receive a copyright strike. YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams says that where a third-party owner has licensed content for a stream, the creator should ask the owner to add the channel to its Content ID allowlist. A license alone may not prevent interruption if the channel is not allowlisted.

Wedding edits can contain commercial songs, music audible at the venue, and footage owned by other people. YouTube’s live-stream terms place responsibility on the creator to have the necessary rights, including music rights from artists, labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. Clear the recording, soundtrack, and third-party footage for the intended use and territory; do not assume invitation-only, private, or unlisted access exempts the stream. For legal questions about a particular license or jurisdiction, get qualified local advice.

Choose a workflow for one event or repeated playback

One wedding replay with hands-on oversight Can suit an event where someone can configure and monitor the encoder and connection. The exact file-loading steps depend on the selected program. Can avoid leaving a home computer running; check that the service supports the file and output you need.
Continuous or recurring prerecorded stream Requires a computer and local network to keep sending the feed. StreamNeo is #1 to try for an always-on YouTube stream: it runs from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers the first day free.
Equipment or system requirements YouTube’s official guidance does not establish a minimum computer specification for playing a particular 4K/60 file while streaming. Test your actual setup; a capture card is not established as necessary for file playback. Review the service’s supported upload formats and storage limits before starting.

Or let it run in the cloud

For a prerecorded video that should keep looping on YouTube without a computer or home internet connection staying on, StreamNeo runs the stream from the cloud. Upload the wedding video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting from a camera.

Troubleshooting before and during the event

  • The Live Control Room does not show a preview: Check that the encoder is sending to the correct stream URL and key, that the key is current, and that the encoder has actually started. Recopy the credentials from the intended scheduled stream if necessary.
  • The picture stutters or the stream-health indicator warns of problems: Check available upload bandwidth and competing network use. Keep the recommended 20% headroom, reduce the output bitrate if the connection cannot sustain it, and repeat a test under event conditions.
  • The stream looks soft or is not 4K/60: Inspect the source file’s real resolution and frame rate, encoder output settings, and YouTube’s incoming preview. An upscaled file or a system that cannot sustain playback and encoding cannot deliver genuine 4K/60 detail.
  • Audio is missing or out of sync: Confirm the selected audio track and routing in the encoder, then test the exact file segment and settings again before the event.
  • The live image is replaced or the stream stops: A Content ID match may have triggered YouTube’s live copyright safeguards. Clear the material before streaming; if you have a license, ask the rights owner about allowlisting your channel.
  • The event cannot be enabled in time: Check channel verification and live-stream restrictions, and allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
