To start a 24/7 Assamese bedtime-stories livestream, first confirm your channel can go live, prepare stories and media you have the rights to use, then connect a tested encoder or cloud playout service to YouTube Live Control Room. Plan for interruptions and archives: YouTube warns that a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all, and no setup guarantees uninterrupted broadcasting.
1. Confirm your channel can livestream
Before preparing a continuous feed, open YouTube Studio and confirm the channel is verified and able to livestream. YouTube’s current guidance says a channel must have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and streamers must be at least 16. 2. Build a rights-cleared Assamese story library
Plan a consistent narration style and decide what listeners will see: for example, original illustrations, a simple title card, or other visuals you are authorized to use. Make a rights checklist for each story, translation, narration recording, illustration, music track, and sound effect. Obtain permission that covers the intended use where needed; attribution alone is not proof of permission.
A familiar or old folktale does not automatically make every adaptation, translation, recording, or image free to use. The rights status of any particular Assamese story or recording depends on the specific material and applicable rights. Do not assume a version is cleared without checking it.

If you record narration, use a microphone suited to your recording space and monitor for clear, consistent audio. YouTube’s live-stream overview discusses encoder setups that use equipment such as microphones and preamps, and its streaming tips recommend checking audio quality.
3. Choose how to keep the feed running

4. Create the YouTube encoder stream and connect it
- Open YouTube Studio and Live Control Room. Create or schedule a livestream using the encoder workflow. Set the title, description, visibility, and other stream details for the broadcast.
- Copy the connection details. In Live Control Room, obtain the YouTube server URL and stream key, then enter them in your encoder’s streaming settings. YouTube’s encoder setup instructions describe this workflow.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password: do not post or share it publicly. Use the key intended for this stream, and check that it is still appropriate before reusing saved settings.
- Start the encoder and inspect the preview. Confirm that YouTube receives the expected picture and sound before starting the broadcast from Live Control Room.
- Confirm the watch page and audience settings. Check that the intended viewers can reach the stream and that the audience designation is accurate before you rely on the broadcast.
5. Test bandwidth, picture, sound, and recovery
A 24/7 feed needs an operational plan, not just a working start button. YouTube’s streaming tips say the available upload bandwidth should exceed the total outgoing bitrate, leaving additional room beyond the stream bitrate. Test the actual setup before launch, inspect the preview, check audio and video, and test backup-encoder failover if you have one.

- Watch the preview for stable picture and clear narration; check that background audio does not overwhelm the voice.
- Confirm your upload connection has headroom rather than planning to use all of its capacity for the stream.
- Check that the public or unlisted watch page works as intended for your audience.
- Decide who will notice a stopped encoder or connection failure and what they will do to restore the feed.
- During operation, monitor the stream and keep a practical recovery plan for lost connectivity or encoder failure.
6. Design continuity around YouTube’s archive limit
YouTube says livestreams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but warns that streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. A single 24-hour broadcast is therefore not a dependable way to create a 24-hour replay. See YouTube’s archive guidance.
If a replay matters, consider ending and restarting in shorter scheduled blocks and keeping local recordings separately. Shorter blocks add restart work and can interrupt continuous listening; local recordings provide a separate archive copy but require storage and their own rights-cleared media workflow.

7. Set the audience accurately and understand monetization limits
Bedtime stories can be intended for children, families, or a broader audience. Set the Made for Kids designation according to the actual intended audience and YouTube’s guidance; do not assume every bedtime-story stream is automatically in either category. YouTube says Made for Kids content has feature restrictions, including live chat, comments, and personalized advertising. Review YouTube’s audience-setting guidance before publishing.
Being able to broadcast does not mean a channel will earn money. YouTube requires acceptance into the YouTube Partner Program and compliance with its monetization policies. Its policy guidance applies to livestreaming and describes repetitive or mass-produced content as inauthentic content; a continuous loop does not guarantee YPP approval or ad revenue.
