To show a BharatPe or PhonePe QR code on a YouTube livestream, retrieve the current receiving QR from the relevant provider’s official merchant app or account, add its image as an overlay in your streaming encoder, then check the live preview on another device before you go live. The providers’ documented information supports the QR payment capabilities below, but does not establish current app steps for exporting a QR or a YouTube ruling specifically about payment QR overlays.
Choose the QR for the account you want to receive payments

BharatPe’s merchant app listing says its single QR accepts payments from PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon UPI and more than 150 other banking apps. That is the app listing’s claim; it does not guarantee compatibility for every QR, account or transaction. BharatPe merchant app listing

PhonePe’s terms describe using a VPA to pay at merchant locations through a QR in the PhonePe app. They do not say that only PhonePe can scan such a QR. Check that the QR you use is for the intended receiving account. PhonePe terms
Choose based on the account where you want payments to arrive, the payment apps your viewers use, and whether the QR remains clear at its on-screen size. The cited information does not establish comparative fees, settlement speeds or streamer-specific features. Use a current QR from your own provider account rather than an old screenshot.

Add the QR to an encoder-based livestream
YouTube lists encoders as a livestreaming method and says they are commonly used for streams with overlays and hardware. Its overlay guidance describes a browser source for a YouTube break overlay, not a payment QR; the following is a general image-overlay workflow, not provider-specific app instructions. - Get the QR image. Open the official BharatPe or PhonePe merchant app or account and retrieve the current QR for the intended receiving account. App navigation for exporting or saving it can change, and the sources cited here do not establish exact menu names. Do not substitute an unverified QR image.
- Open your encoder’s scene or layout. Add the saved QR image as an image source or overlay, using the controls in your encoder. Keep it visible without covering subtitles, documentary footage, essential graphics or other important content.
- Check legibility and the payee. Inspect the outgoing preview on a second device, preferably in the same viewing format your audience will use. Confirm that the QR is readable at its displayed size and that the receiving account shown is the one you intend. These are practical checks, not a guarantee that every viewer’s device or payment app will scan it.
- Start the stream and monitor the overlay. Verify the QR remains on screen where intended as your scene or layout changes. If you also post a payment link in chat, check its behavior for the stream format: YouTube says live-chat links are clickable on horizontal livestreams, but not in the vertical live feed viewed in the mobile app. YouTube Help: sharing links with viewers
Keep payment requests safe and YouTube-compliant
Never ask viewers to share a UPI PIN, OTP or banking credentials. Direct viewers to pay only through their own payment app and to check the payee details shown there before confirming.

YouTube’s external-links policy applies to livestreams and prohibits links that direct viewers to prohibited destinations, including phishing sites. It does not specifically determine whether every ordinary payment QR overlay is allowed, so do not present a QR as YouTube-approved. Make clear whose account receives payments and what they are for. Consider YouTube’s built-in earning options
Depending on channel eligibility and settings, YouTube lists ads, Super Chat and Super Stickers, and channel memberships as ways to earn from livestreams.
