Instagram moved Posts You’ve Liked into Your activity. On an iPhone, go to Profile → menu → Your activity → Interactions → Likes. On a Mac, open Instagram.com and choose More/menu → Your activity → Interactions → Likes. Instagram’s help page says this view contains your 300 most recent liked posts, not an unlimited lifetime archive.
See liked posts on an iPhone
- Open Instagram and sign in to the account whose likes you want to review.
- Tap your profile picture in the bottom-right.
- Tap the three-line menu in the top-right.
- Tap Your activity.
- Tap Interactions, then Likes.
- Tap any thumbnail to reopen the photo, video or Reel.
Instagram can change icon placement and labels during account or app rollouts, but Your activity is the destination to look for. The current route is also illustrated in an iOS walkthrough by Adweek.

See liked posts on a Mac
Instagram normally runs on a Mac in a web browser rather than through a separate native desktop app.
- Go to Instagram.com and sign in.
- Click More (or the menu button) in the bottom-left.
- Choose Your activity.
- Select Interactions.
- Choose Likes.
- Click a post or video to open it.
Instagram’s computer instructions use the same destination, although the entry point is the bottom-left menu rather than the iPhone profile menu. See the official instructions.

Find a liked Reel, account or date
Liked Reels are included in the same Likes activity area as liked photos and other videos. In the mobile app, you may see Sort & filter controls. Depending on your account, app version and rollout, available options can include dates or accounts.
Treat those controls as interface-dependent: Instagram does not document one fixed set of filters for every account, and you should not expect keyword searching by caption unless your screen explicitly offers it. The computer help page establishes the general Likes list, not a separate Mac page for liked Reels.

How far back does Instagram keep liked posts?
Instagram’s help documentation specifies the 300 most recent posts you have liked. This is a recency-based activity view, so it is not a complete, searchable archive of every like you have made. A post you liked years ago may therefore be absent even if you never manually unliked it.
The Likes list is also not a backup. A thumbnail may fail to open when the creator deleted the post, made the account private, lost access to it, or Instagram removed the content. Those are practical possibilities rather than a complete list of official explanations.

Unlike posts from the Likes list
Instagram’s Your activity tools support reviewing and deleting likes. If selection controls appear in your version:
- Open Your activity → Interactions → Likes.
- Tap or click Select.
- Choose one or more posts.
- Choose Unlike and confirm if prompted.
The exact selection layout can differ between the iPhone app and Instagram.com.

Why a liked post is missing
- It is outside the visible history: the list is limited to recent likes rather than a lifetime archive.
- You unliked it: an accidental tap removes it from this activity list.
- The original changed: the creator may have deleted the post, switched to a private account, or restricted your access.
- Instagram removed it: policy or copyright enforcement can make a post unavailable.
- You are in another account: check the username and profile before troubleshooting.
- The list did not load: a connection, app or website problem can leave the page empty.
- The format is no longer available: temporary or otherwise unavailable content may not reopen.
If “Your activity” is missing
- Confirm that you are signed in to the intended account.
- Update Instagram through the App Store.
- Force-close and reopen the app.
- Log out, then sign back in.
- Try Instagram.com in a browser.
- Use the profile menu search, if present, for Your activity or Interactions.
- If it still does not appear, use Instagram’s in-app support to report a technical problem.
Avoid services that request your Instagram password while promising to reveal hidden likes; they are unnecessary for viewing your own activity and create account-security risks.

Liking and saving are separate actions. If you need reliable future access to a post, use Save rather than treating a like as permanent storage.

Who can see your likes?
Your Your activity → Likes list is an account-level management view. It does not make a public catalog of your entire history available to other people.
However, a like on an individual post can be visible to people who can view that post. Instagram explains this distinction in its help page about like visibility: likes on public content may be visible to anyone with access, while visibility on private content depends on the account’s approved audience.
Instagram does not provide a legitimate private dashboard for viewing another person’s complete liked-post history. Seeing someone’s like on a particular post is not the same as accessing their activity list.
