YouTube can schedule a livestream, but its built-in scheduling does not switch playlists inside a continuous broadcast at set times. To run a meditation channel that changes from morning to daytime, evening and overnight programming, use a separate feed-management workflow that sends the video to YouTube and explicitly supports timed playlist transitions. Confirm that it handles your time zone and daylight-saving changes before relying on it.
Decide what you mean by “schedule playlists”
There are two different setups: separate livestream events that start at different times, or one continuous live video whose content changes through the day. YouTube Studio and the Live Streaming API support managing and scheduling broadcasts; the official documentation reviewed does not describe a native clock-based playlist switch within a continuous feed. For the second setup, the selected encoder or cloud service must choose and send each content block.
YouTube distinguishes the broadcast—the event viewers watch—from the stream, which carries the audio-video feed. A broadcast is bound to one stream, and a stream can be reused for multiple broadcasts. Google’s API guide also shows a 24/7 broadcast continuing to receive video while a separate broadcast is completed. These API capabilities manage broadcast and stream resources; they do not, by themselves, decide which meditation playlist plays at a given hour. See YouTube Live Streaming API: Understanding Broadcasts and Streams.
Check that your channel can go live
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days to live stream. YouTube lists encoder streaming among its available methods. Check the current requirements and limits in YouTube’s live-streaming setup help before building the schedule.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
YouTube Help currently states a limit of 10 active streams per channel and three active streams per stream key. These are platform limits, not recommendations for how many feeds to run. A single continuous channel may not need concurrent feeds, but check the limits if you plan simultaneous broadcasts or multiple outputs.
Choose who sends the continuous feed
Local encoder workflow
A computer or hardware encoder can send a live feed to YouTube. You remain responsible for selecting, ordering and switching the meditation videos: the encoder or accompanying software must provide the timed playlist behavior. YouTube’s encoder workflow and API explain how to transmit a feed, not how to schedule daypart changes. Before committing, confirm that your specific software supports timed transitions, looping, the intended time zone and recovery after an interruption.

Cloud streaming workflow
A cloud service can run a prerecorded feed without requiring your home computer to stay on. StreamNeo is the first option to consider for a YouTube stream: it runs uploaded videos from the cloud, supports up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. Build or upload the program and verify that the service’s playlist controls meet your exact time-of-day transition requirements before publishing a schedule.
OneStream Live is another documented example, but its help page says 24/7 YouTube streaming requires Enterprise and is limited to a maximum duration of 30 days. The page describes selecting video content and scheduling a stream; verify directly whether its current product supports the precise recurring, time-zone-based playlist transitions you need. See OneStream Live’s 24/7 streaming guide, last updated September 3, 2026.

Design the daypart schedule
First decide what viewers should hear at each part of the day. The examples below are programming blocks, not YouTube features; set the times and transitions in the feed-management tool you choose.
- Morning: gentle wake-up meditation or a short guided practice.
- Daytime: longer focus, breathing or low-distraction ambient sessions.
- Evening: slower, restorative practices.
- Overnight: a quiet, consistent sleep or relaxation playlist.
For every block, specify its start time, playlist, whether it loops, and what should happen if the next item is unavailable. Decide whether transitions should happen at a fixed local clock time or after the current recording ends. The tool must support the behavior you choose; do not assume a scheduled broadcast start also schedules an in-stream playlist change.

Set up and test before relying on the schedule
- Verify eligibility: check the channel’s verification and live-streaming status in YouTube Studio, and review YouTube’s current setup help.
- Create a test broadcast: use YouTube Studio’s live workflow to create or schedule a private or unlisted test, as appropriate for your channel. Confirm that the selected feed source reaches the intended broadcast.
- Configure the feed: in your encoder or cloud service, add the YouTube destination and the required stream credentials using that product’s current instructions. Create separate content blocks and configure their order, loop behavior and transition times in that tool—not in YouTube’s broadcast scheduler.
- Set the clock deliberately: choose the schedule’s time zone and check how the tool handles daylight-saving changes. If its behavior is undocumented, ask the provider or keep a manual review step around clock changes.
- Run a boundary test: observe at least one transition from one playlist to the next. Check that the outgoing video ends or is cut as intended, the next item starts, and the live feed remains active.
- Check audio and fallback behavior: listen for unexpected silence, abrupt level changes or missing files. Confirm what the system does if a playlist ends, an asset cannot be loaded, or the feed disconnects.
- Document recovery: write down who will check the stream and how to restart or restore the schedule. Do not assume a provider automatically recovers unless its current documentation confirms that behavior.
Copyright and channel policy still apply
Having permission to upload or play a recording does not automatically mean it is suitable for a monetized or livestream channel; rights and platform rules can depend on the particular content and permissions. Review YouTube’s current copyright and monetization policies for every recording, including music, guided sessions and ambient tracks. A playlist schedule is an operational plan, not a rights clearance or a guarantee of monetization.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops uploaded videos from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. It streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month. Review StreamNeo and confirm that its playlist controls suit your required time-of-day changes. Start the free first day.
