You can keep a Malayalam devotional video stream running on YouTube without leaving a computer on by using either a standalone hardware encoder or a cloud streaming service. The hardware option runs playback and encoding on site; the cloud option runs the stream remotely. Either way, you need a YouTube channel eligible for live streaming, a YouTube stream URL and stream key, a stable power and internet path for hardware, and permission to use every recording and visual in the broadcast.
Choose how the stream will run
A continuous broadcast needs an active playback-and-encoding path. YouTube’s verified encoder directory describes both scheduled prerecorded playback from standalone hardware and cloud services for streaming prerecorded video without a dedicated PC. Its listings describe features, not independent reliability tests or guarantees of uninterrupted service.

The directory does not compare these options’ costs, terms, or long-run reliability. A hardware encoder still depends on your local power and internet. A cloud service removes the need for a dedicated local PC, but its service details and availability need to be checked with the provider.
Prepare devotional videos and confirm usage rights
Gather the videos, music, images, and any on-screen text you plan to include. Before scheduling a continuous stream, establish that you have permission for livestream use of each item, including both the musical composition and the particular recording where relevant. Devotional subject matter does not, by itself, make a recording or image public domain or grant permission to broadcast it.

YouTube requires live content to comply with its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. The technical setup documentation cannot determine whether a specific bhajan, kirtan, Gurbani recording, film excerpt, photograph, or other asset is cleared for your channel.
Make sure your channel can livestream
- Verify the YouTube channel and confirm it has had no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, as described in YouTube’s live-stream eligibility guidance.
- If this is the channel’s first time enabling live streaming, allow up to 24 hours for activation.
- In YouTube Studio, create or select the live stream, then copy the YouTube Live server URL and stream key for the encoder or cloud service. YouTube’s encoder setup instructions explain this workflow.
- Keep the stream key private. Treat it like a credential: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
Configure and test the stream before leaving it unattended
- Connect your chosen hardware encoder or cloud service using the server URL and stream key from YouTube Studio.
- For an on-site encoder, load the media and configure its scheduled-playback workflow. YouTube’s directory describes the AJA HELO Plus PlayToStream feature as scheduling prerecorded media to YouTube Live without a computer.
- For a cloud service, upload or select the media and configure the provider’s looping or scheduling controls. YouTube’s directory lists services, but does not establish their exact interfaces or settings.
- Use a connection mode supported by the selected encoder or provider. Google documents RTMPS (RTMP carried over SSL); its RTMPS guidance specifies port 443. See Google’s RTMPS ingestion documentation.
- Check YouTube’s preview and test the full playback path: picture, audio levels and continuity, transitions between videos, and what happens if the connection drops. The cited documentation does not set a required internet speed, backup connection, or uptime target, so assess those against your own stream and setup.
Plan for YouTube replay limits
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its encoder guidance does not establish that one uninterrupted stream longer than 12 hours will produce a complete automatic replay. If retaining the full broadcast matters, plan shorter broadcast sessions and/or a separate local or cloud recording workflow.
