For merch, have the store item ready first and follow the winner’s redemption through to completion.
Choose the giveaway type

Create and configure a giveaway profile
- Open Cloudbot settings. Go to the Giveaways tab and select Add Giveaway Profile.
- Choose the prize type. Select Custom to describe a prize, or Merch to give away a store item. For merch, first make sure the store and the item you intend to offer are set up.
- Name the profile and describe the prize. Give the profile a unique name, then enter a clear prize description viewers can understand.
- Set an optional timer. Enable the timer and choose a duration if you want entries to close automatically. Without using the timer, you can close the giveaway yourself.
- Set entry and ticket rules. Choose who may enter, set the ticket cost in Cloudbot loyalty points, and configure the maximum tickets per viewer. You can also set bonus tickets for subscribers and non-subscribers.
- Decide whether followers can win. The follower setting is separate from entry permission: it can prevent non-followers from winning while still allowing them to enter.
- Confirm and save the profile. You can reuse a saved profile; creating it does not start a live giveaway.
Customize giveaway messages
In the Giveaways settings, you can customize the default command, entry response, other giveaway messages, and a repeat reminder. Review the wording before launch so viewers know how to enter, what the prize is, and when entries close.
Start, close, and draw the giveaway
- When you are ready to accept entries, select Start Giveaway on the saved profile.
- Watch the entrant list and ticket counts while the giveaway is open.
- Close entries manually when you are ready, or let the configured timer close them automatically.
- After entries are closed, select Pick a Winner.
- Watch for the winner’s messages. If the selected person cannot claim the prize or you need another winner, use the reroll option.
Fulfill the prize
Custom prize
Contact the selected winner and arrange the prize delivery or redemption you described. If the winner does not respond or cannot claim it, reroll as appropriate and communicate the next steps clearly.

Merch prize
The merch winner receives a unique redemption URL and can provide applicable size, color, and shipping details. Monitor the winner’s messages and complete the merch giveaway after the winner confirms the claim.
Before you announce the giveaway
- State the prize, how to enter, the ticket rules, and the closing point in language viewers can follow.
- Check that the profile’s permissions, follower eligibility, ticket costs, and bonus tickets match what you plan to announce.
- For merch, confirm the store item is available before starting.
- Check the promotion rules that apply in your location and on the streaming platform you use. Cloudbot’s settings explain how its giveaway feature operates; they do not establish that a promotion complies with local law or platform rules.
Troubleshooting common issues
The merch option is not ready
Cloudbot’s merch giveaway depends on an item in your Streamlabs merch store. Set up the store and desired item before creating that giveaway profile.

Non-followers can enter, but should not be able to win
Entry permission and follower eligibility are distinct controls. Review the follower setting, which can keep non-followers from winning without blocking them from entering.
The giveaway did not close when expected
Check that the profile’s timer is enabled and that its duration is set. If you did not configure a timer, close the giveaway manually before selecting Pick a Winner.

The winner has not claimed the prize
Monitor the winner’s messages and reroll if needed. For merch, allow the winner to use the redemption URL and confirm the claim before completing the giveaway.
