StreamYard can schedule a pre-recorded devotional broadcast on YouTube, but its documented pre-recorded feature is finite: the broadcast ends when the selected video finishes. StreamYard’s published per-video limits are two, four, or eight hours depending on plan. Its help pages do not establish a built-in playlist loop or an uninterrupted 24/7 handoff. You can use StreamYard for scheduled devotional programs; for continuous playback, you need a separate continuous-playout method and must verify how it connects to your YouTube event.
What StreamYard can—and cannot—do for a 24/7 stream
Scheduled pre-recorded broadcasts are finite
StreamYard’s Pre-recorded Streaming guide says a scheduled broadcast starts at the specified time and ends when the video is finished. The documented maximum length depends on plan:
| StreamYard plan | Maximum length of one pre-recorded video |
|---|---|
| Core | Up to 2 hours |
| Advanced | Up to 4 hours |
| Teams or Business | Up to 8 hours |
These limits come from StreamYard Help Center pages whose publication dates are not shown; they were accessed October 3, 2026. Confirm the current plan details before designing a schedule around them.
“Unlimited streaming” does not mean a pre-recorded video loops forever
StreamYard separately says paid plans have no StreamYard-side streaming-hour limit. Its destination guidance also says YouTube has no streaming-hour limit in that table. Those statements do not remove the per-video limits above or establish that StreamYard will repeat a video, chain broadcasts without gaps, or keep one YouTube live event open indefinitely.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The official documentation reviewed does not establish a built-in StreamYard playlist loop, seamless transitions between scheduled broadcasts, or a persistent YouTube event across those broadcasts. Do not treat a scheduled pre-recorded video as a complete 24/7 solution. A scheduling horizon of up to 365 days, also listed by StreamYard, is how far ahead a broadcast may be scheduled—not a promise of continuous playback.
Prepare the YouTube channel and devotional music
Enable livestreaming before the planned start
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Initial live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube Help’s “Get started with live streaming.” Complete activation well before the first scheduled broadcast.
Clear rights for every composition and recording
Religious or devotional subject matter does not make a song or recording free to livestream. You are responsible for obtaining the rights needed for each composition and sound recording, including applicable music licensing and public-performance rights. YouTube’s livestream terms place that responsibility on the person providing the live content.

If you have a license for third-party music, ask the relevant rights holder to allowlist your YouTube channel in Content ID. YouTube warns that a livestream can still be interrupted by its copyright-matching systems if the channel has not been allowlisted. Keep records of permissions and confirm that they cover livestreaming, the intended territories, and the specific recordings you plan to use.
Schedule a finite devotional broadcast with StreamYard
For a prayer session, devotional program, or other finite event, use StreamYard’s documented pre-recorded workflow:
- Prepare the video. Make sure the recording contains the complete program you intend to broadcast and fits the maximum length for your StreamYard plan.
- Create the broadcast. In StreamYard, choose Live Stream, then Pre-recorded video.
- Select the destination. Choose the YouTube channel or other destination you intend to use.
- Set the date and time. Enter when the finite broadcast should begin. StreamYard says the feature can be scheduled up to 365 days in advance; this is a scheduling limit, not a continuous-playback feature.
- Enter the event details. Add the title and other requested metadata, then create the broadcast.
- Check the result. Confirm the scheduled event appears where expected and check playback after it starts. The broadcast is expected to stop when the selected video ends.
For a program longer than your plan’s one-video limit, the documented feature does not provide a way to make one pre-recorded broadcast exceed that limit. The sources reviewed do not establish that scheduling multiple videos will create a continuous stream or preserve a single YouTube event.

What a separate continuous-playout setup must handle
To keep devotional music playing around the clock, a separate encoder or playout system needs to provide the continuous playback that StreamYard’s documented pre-recorded feature does not establish. Before relying on such a setup, verify these points with the provider or in a controlled test:
- Looping and transitions: Can it repeat a playlist and move between tracks without silence or a break in the live output?
- YouTube event behavior: Does it connect to the intended event, and will the event remain the same across playlist transitions and restarts?
- Unattended recovery: What happens if the encoder, network connection, or YouTube ingest connection drops? Is a restart automatic, and does it reconnect to the right event?
- Monitoring: How will you detect missing audio, a frozen picture, a disconnected stream, or an event that has ended?
- Recording and archive behavior: What will viewers be able to replay, and for how long? Streaming continuously, recording locally, and YouTube’s archive are different outcomes.
- Rights and Content ID: Can you handle claims or interruptions, and have the relevant rights holders allowlisted your channel where needed?
The cited StreamYard and YouTube guidance does not verify a particular third-party looper’s performance or prove that any setup will be uninterrupted. Test the full chain before promoting a 24/7 schedule.

Use YouTube’s preview before going live
YouTube’s live-streaming tips recommend testing with audio and motion similar to the planned stream and checking the Live Control Room preview before going live. Confirm that the stream appears on the channel and watch pages, and check playback on a phone as well as a computer. Once live, monitor both sound and picture rather than assuming a successful connection means the program is playing correctly.

Choose settings your encoder supports and validate them
YouTube’s general encoder guidance lists H.264 video, AAC or MP3 audio, constant bitrate encoding, and a recommended two-second keyframe interval that should not exceed four seconds. Use the settings supported by your chosen encoder and test them with the actual material. The available guidance here does not specify one appropriate resolution or bitrate for every channel; choose settings for the intended output and available upload capacity, then confirm YouTube’s preview is stable.
Leave upload headroom and test recovery
YouTube recommends a reliable network and sufficient upload capacity, with headroom rather than using all available bandwidth. If your setup has a backup encoder or connection, test failover before the event: YouTube suggests stopping the primary encoder or unplugging its Ethernet cable and confirming that playback moves to the backup. A wired Ethernet connection may help in a particular setup, but YouTube’s guidance does not make buying a cable mandatory.

Treat the key like a password
YouTube describes a stream key as the combination of an address and a password for the encoder. Keep it private, enter it only in the intended streaming service, and reset it if it is exposed. Do not publish screenshots or configuration files that reveal the key.

Do not assume a continuous stream becomes one complete archive
YouTube says encoder streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Separately, StreamYard’s destination guidance says only the last 12 hours are recorded on YouTube. Neither statement establishes that a 24/7 event will produce one complete archive or that DVR and replay behavior will match your needs. Confirm archive, DVR, event-length, and restart behavior for the exact configuration.
StreamYard’s own recording is a separate matter from the live broadcast and YouTube’s archive. Its Help Center lists recording limits of 10 hours for Core, Advanced, and Teams and 24 hours for Business, subject to available storage. These are StreamYard recording limits, not the maximum duration of the broadcast itself.
Troubleshooting common problems
- The broadcast ends before the full day is over: A scheduled pre-recorded broadcast ends when its source video finishes. Check the video duration against your plan’s per-video limit; a StreamYard schedule alone is not evidence of a loop.
- The video cannot be scheduled or is too long: Compare its length with the documented cap for your plan. A longer continuous program requires a separate, verified playout method; splitting it into scheduled events does not establish gapless playback.
- Livestreaming is unavailable on the channel: Check channel verification and whether the channel has live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. If livestreaming has only just been enabled, allow up to 24 hours for activation.
- The stream is interrupted after music starts: Check YouTube’s copyright notices and contact the rights holder. A license does not necessarily prevent Content ID interruption if the channel has not been allowlisted.
- The preview buffers, freezes, or has poor audio: Test with representative audio and motion, inspect the Live Control Room preview, check upload capacity and network reliability, and validate encoder settings before restarting a long program.
- A backup does not take over: Test the failover path deliberately by stopping the primary encoder or disconnecting its Ethernet cable, then confirm playback moves to the backup. Do not assume redundancy works until it has been tested.
- The archive is shorter than the broadcast: Separate YouTube’s archive behavior from the duration of the live event and from StreamYard’s recording limits. Verify the expected replay and DVR behavior for the specific setup; a full archive of a continuous stream is not established by the cited guidance.
