The harder part is making that feed loop and recover reliably: YouTube’s setup guidance does not guarantee unattended playback or automatic recovery, so plan and test operations before calling a stream 24/7.
Plan a revision stream that matches the current CBSE syllabus
Start with the CBSE Academic Unit’s 2026–27 curriculum portal and choose the relevant class and subject. It lists secondary subjects including Class X Mathematics, Science and Social Science. Curriculum changes, so check the portal again when the academic year or syllabus changes rather than assuming an older recording remains aligned.
Build a deliberate sequence from your own recorded explanations, worked examples and recap segments. Label the class, subject, chapter or topic, and lesson order in the stream metadata and in on-screen transitions. These labels help a learner who joins midstream understand what is playing; they are practical editorial guidance, not a separate CBSE requirement.
CBSE circular TRG-02/2026, dated 7 January 2026, describes a production workflow that includes identifying the subject, topic and subject-matter expert; scripting and review; storyboarding; recording; graphics; editing; and programme review. It also notes that repeated telecasts and YouTube availability can support self-paced learning. The circular reported 67 e-videos available on PM eVidya CBSE-15 at that time; that is a dated count, not a current total.

Check channel eligibility and clear the material
Confirm you can go live
YouTube’s current eligibility guidance says the channel must be verified, have no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days, and the person streaming must be at least 16. Check the current YouTube live-streaming requirements and any limits shown in Studio before scheduling.
Secure rights to everything in the feed
Use recordings and assets you own or are authorized to use. Check not only the lesson video, but also music, images, slides, excerpts, and other third-party material. YouTube’s live-stream terms make the creator responsible for necessary rights, including music licensing rights.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. A match can cause a warning and replacement of the stream with a placeholder; continuing to include the material may lead to a temporary interruption or termination. Even material you have licensed may need the rights holder to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Review YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance and resolve rights issues before launch.
Schedule the event and connect an encoder
- Schedule in Studio. Open YouTube Studio, go to Create > Go live, then in Live Control Room choose Manage and schedule a stream. A scheduled event can provide an upcoming watch page and reminders. Follow the current prompts in Studio if labels differ.
- Configure the encoder. In the encoder, enter the YouTube Live server URL and stream key shown for the event. The key is a credential that lets the encoder send content to your channel; treat it like a password and do not publish or share it.
- Send a preview first. Start the encoder feed, inspect the preview in Live Control Room, and confirm the expected picture and sound before starting the event for viewers.
- Start the live event. When the preview is correct, start the stream in Live Control Room if Studio requires it for your event. Verify the public watch page from a separate device or browser.
YouTube documents encoder-based streaming but does not prescribe a specific app or configuration for looping prerecorded files continuously and restarting after faults. Choose an encoder that supports your intended playlist or loop, and verify its behavior yourself in a private or otherwise low-risk test before relying on it for an unattended schedule. Software encoding is a valid route; YouTube also recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production-value events, but dedicated hardware is not required just to send a feed.

Make the stream operationally dependable
A 24/7 schedule is an operations commitment, not just a playlist setting. YouTube recommends advance preparation, preview checks, encoder failover testing, checking that local archive files are growing, confirming access through channel and watch pages and mobile, and monitoring audio and video. For continuous use, assign someone to receive alerts and take action when the feed fails. Test how your specific encoder resumes after a source, software, power or network interruption; neither scheduling a YouTube event nor using an encoder by itself establishes reliable automatic recovery.
- Test the full playback order, loop point, transitions, and audio levels over a representative run.
- Test what happens if a media file ends unexpectedly or becomes unavailable.
- Test a feed interruption and confirm who notices it, what recovery action is available, and whether the event can be resumed as intended.
- Monitor the live preview and watch page, including audio, from a separate device during launch and operation.
- Keep independent copies of source recordings if you need them for later use; do not assume the live archive is your only copy.
Plan sessions and archives around YouTube’s 12-hour guidance
YouTube’s encoder instructions state that streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. The guidance does not establish that one uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast will be archived in the same way. If learners need video-on-demand access, consider shorter scheduled sessions or keep independent recordings, and verify the current Studio behavior before relying on an archive. Design the rotation around the archive outcome you actually need, rather than assuming a continuous day-long event will produce an ordinary replay.

Understand monetization and policy limits
Repeated prerecorded lessons are not automatically eligible for ads. YouTube applies its monetization policies to live streams; its inauthentic-content policy addresses repetitive or mass-produced content, while reused content is assessed separately. Make the channel’s original teaching, meaningful educational value and editorial work clear. Do not promise approval for the YouTube Partner Program or a particular level of earnings. Ads and some fan-funding features may be available to eligible live streams, subject to current rules and the channel’s status.
