Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsTo rotate prerecorded videos on a 24/7 YouTube channel, send a live feed from an encoder or cloud playout service to YouTube, and configure the playlist in the tool that plays your videos. YouTube provides the live stream and connection settings; playlist order and repeat behavior depend on your chosen encoder or service.
For a do-it-yourself setup, use a computer with encoder software, connect it to a scheduled or active YouTube stream using the stream URL and key, then load your owned or licensed videos into the software’s playlist. The computer, power, and internet connection must remain available while it streams. If you want the stream to continue without a computer at home, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos from the cloud to YouTube.
Before you set up a 24/7 stream
Confirm that live streaming is enabled for your channel before planning a launch. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Initial activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it in advance rather than waiting until your scheduled start. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
Prepare videos you have the right to stream. A continuous broadcast does not make copyrighted music or footage permissible, and a video being available online does not establish permission to rebroadcast it. If monetization matters, review the channel-level policies before building a schedule: YouTube’s rules apply to live streams as well as uploaded videos.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Choose where the playlist and encoder will run
YouTube does not provide one universal playlist-rotation recipe for 24/7 prerecorded streams. The rotation is handled by the software, appliance, or cloud service that plays and sends the video feed.
| Approach | What runs the feed | What to consider |
|---|---|---|
| Computer and software encoder | Your computer plays the videos and sends the encoded live feed to YouTube. | The computer, power, and connection must stay available. Playlist controls and recovery behavior depend on the software. A mini PC is optional, not a YouTube requirement. |
| Standalone hardware encoder | A dedicated device encodes and sends a feed. | It can suit a dedicated production setup, but may be more equipment than a prerecorded playlist needs. |
| Cloud prerecorded streaming | A provider hosts and sends the prerecorded feed. | Check current plan limits, storage, scheduling, service availability in India, and what happens after a disconnection. YouTube’s encoder page lists Gyre for 24/7 prerecorded streaming. OneStream’s documentation says its 24/7 capability requires Enterprise; see its continuous-streaming instructions. |
| Camera encoder app | An app sends video from a compatible camera. | YouTube lists CamStreamer for continuous and scheduled streams with compatible Axis cameras. This is aimed at camera-based broadcasting, not rotating a library of recorded files. |
YouTube describes encoder-based streaming and scheduling in its encoder setup guide. The available guidance does not establish that one operational model is universally more reliable or cheaper.

Set up a local playlist stream
- Enable live streaming. Verify the channel and check its live-streaming eligibility in YouTube Studio. Allow up to 24 hours for initial activation.
- Create or schedule the stream. Open YouTube Studio, go to Live Control Room, and create a stream or schedule one for later. Scheduling creates an upcoming stream that viewers can find and may let them opt in to reminders. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup instructions for the current interface.
- Copy the connection details. In the stream’s settings, copy the stream URL and stream key into the matching fields in your encoder. The key is a credential: do not publish it, share it publicly, or include it in screenshots. Reset it if you believe it has been exposed. YouTube’s stream settings guidance explains stream configuration.
- Build the rotation in the encoder. Add the prerecorded videos you own or are licensed to use to the encoder’s playlist or playout feature. Set the desired order and repeat behavior. Confirm whether the software advances when a clip ends, what it does when the list ends, and whether its playlist resumes after a disconnect; these details vary by encoder.
- Start the feed and check stream health. Start sending from the encoder and monitor Live Control Room for the incoming feed and stream health. YouTube’s auto-start and auto-stop settings control when a feed starts or stops; they do not create or rotate a video playlist.
- Keep the local setup available. For a computer-based workflow, leave the computer, encoder, and internet connection running for the duration of the broadcast. Consider what will happen after a power loss, network outage, software crash, or a video file error; do not assume YouTube will restart your playlist.
Plan for rotation, outages, and archives
Test the entire playlist before promoting a continuous broadcast. Check that files play with sound and picture, that the transition at each end behaves as intended, and that the rotation returns to the expected first video. If the encoder has separate playlist and reconnect settings, verify both rather than assuming one controls the other.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That guidance does not establish that a single 24/7 broadcast will produce one complete archive. If you need an archive, decide whether to make separate recordings or schedule periodic restarts, and verify YouTube’s current behavior before relying on it. See YouTube’s archive guidance.

Understand copyright and monetization in India
Indian creators must apply for and be accepted into the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) to earn through YouTube. Depending on eligibility and channel status, possible features include ads, YouTube Premium revenue, Shopping, memberships, Super Chat, and Super Stickers. A 24/7 stream does not guarantee acceptance, monetization, or any particular income. Check YouTube’s India earnings and YPP information.
YouTube’s monetization policies also cover live streams. On July 15, 2025, YouTube said it renamed “repetitious content” to “inauthentic content” to clarify that repetitive or mass-produced content is included. The policy notice states: “This type of content has always been ineligible for monetization under our existing policies, where creators are rewarded for original and authentic content.” The statement concerns repetitive or mass-produced content; it does not decide the eligibility of every 24/7 stream. Review YouTube’s monetization policies.

Reused content is a separate channel-level assessment. Permission to use a video does not by itself settle whether a channel meets monetization requirements; significant original commentary, substantive modification, or added educational or entertainment value can matter. Copyright rules still apply independently. Avoid relying on minimally changed or repetitive material as a monetization strategy.
