Yes. Netflix lets you remotely remove access from one device or every connected device through its Manage Access and Devices page. You only need to sign in to the account in a browser; you do not need physical access to the television, phone, computer, hotel TV, or streaming stick.
Sign out of one Netflix device remotely
- Open netflix.com/manageaccountaccess in a browser and sign in if prompted.
- Find the device you want to remove.
- Select the down arrow beside that device.
- Choose Sign Out.
This is the least disruptive option when you recognize the activity and only need to remove an old phone, a returned streaming stick, a former roommate’s device, or a Netflix session left on a hotel or vacation-rental TV. Other household devices remain signed in.
Sign out of Netflix on every device
- Open Manage Access and Devices.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Sign Out of All Devices.
- Select Sign Out to confirm.
This removes connected devices broadly, including devices you intend to keep using. Everyone will have to sign in again with the account password. Netflix notes that the list is not necessarily a complete history of every device that has ever used the account, so all-device sign-out is the safer choice when you cannot identify the activity.
Which option should you use?

| You used Netflix on a public or temporary TV | Sign out all devices if you are unsure which session is yours |

What Netflix shows in the device list
Netflix says the page can show a device type, the most recently used profile, and the last watched date and time for recently active devices associated with the account. Use those details to compare a session with your own viewing, but do not assume the label identifies a precise physical device, location, IP address, or person.

An unfamiliar entry is not proof of account theft. It could belong to another household member, a browser session, or a platform label you do not recognize. For example, Netflix says its Windows app may appear as an Edge web browser.
Why a device may be missing
Netflix’s list has important visibility limits:
- A recently used device can take up to 48 hours to appear.
- A device that has not been active in the last 90 days may not appear.
- Devices used only for Netflix games may be omitted.
- Devices used only to access Tudum may be omitted.
- Netflix may provide incomplete information for some devices.
Therefore, a missing device does not prove that it is signed out. If the account may be compromised, change the password and use the all-device sign-out control rather than relying on the list as a complete inventory. See Netflix’s current explanation at its device-management help page.

If you think someone is using your account
Signing out alone may not stop someone who knows the password from signing in again. Netflix recommends this sequence:

- When offered the option, choose to sign out all devices, or do it from Manage Access and Devices.
- Sign in again only on devices you recognize and trust.
Netflix recommends a unique password of at least eight characters with a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols, while avoiding easily guessed personal information. Its security guidance is available at Netflix Help. If suspicious activity continues, contact Netflix.

Remote sign-out does not cancel Netflix
Sign out removes account access from a device. It does not cancel your membership or stop future billing. Canceling Netflix is a separate account action; deleting the app or logging out locally is not a substitute for remote device management. See Netflix’s cancellation guidance if cancellation is what you intend.
If you cannot sign in
Use Netflix’s password-reset page:
- Email reset links expire after 24 hours.
- SMS verification codes expire after 20 minutes when SMS recovery is available.
- Recovery with payment-card information may be offered in some regions, but is not universally available.
- If a third party or package provider bills you, that provider may have additional sign-in or account-recovery instructions.
If none of these routes works, contact Netflix support. After recovering the account, change the password and sign out all devices.

Local sign-out is different
The instructions above remove another device from your account remotely. Signing out of the device you are holding is a separate, device-specific action, and menus vary by app and platform. For example, Netflix currently documents Android local sign-out as My Netflix → profile name → Sign Out. TV and streaming-device menus can differ, so use Netflix’s device sign-out troubleshooting page rather than assuming every app has the same menu.

- Open Manage Access and Devices.
- Choose Sign Out beside one device, or Sign Out of All Devices.
- Change the password if the activity is unfamiliar or the password was shared.
- Sign back in only on trusted devices.
- Contact Netflix if you cannot recover the account or suspicious activity continues.
Netflix may change control labels or placement over time; its current help instructions are the authority if your screen differs.
