The setup can repeat a playlist, but “24/7” describes your intended schedule—not guaranteed uptime. YouTube may interrupt a stream over copyright matches, and your computer, power, network, encoder, or media source can fail.
1. Clear the rights to every recording before you stream
Make an inventory of each recording and composition, then confirm that the permission covers public live streaming on YouTube, the territories where you plan to broadcast, monetization if applicable, and any saved archive. Rights in a sound recording and the underlying composition may belong to different parties, so check both where relevant. If a label or distributor controls the music, ask whether it must allowlist your channel through Content ID before the stream.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. Depending on the match and rights owner, it may replace the video with a placeholder, warn you to stop using the material, interrupt or terminate the stream, or take further action after a strike. Archived streams may receive Content ID claims after the live broadcast ends. YouTube for Artists recommends coordinating with the label or distributor when using copyright-protected music: YouTube for Artists; see also YouTube Help on copyright issues with live streams.
- A music file you can play locally does not establish streaming rights.
- Attribution in the description does not replace permission.
- A consumer music subscription does not by itself demonstrate that live-stream or archive use is covered.
- Do not display lyrics unless you have separate permission to display them.
Rights depend on the actual tracks, territories, and intended use. If the permission is unclear, ask the relevant rights holder or a qualified adviser rather than assuming a track is safe.

2. Enable YouTube live streaming and create the broadcast
YouTube’s current general guidance says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. The guide also says live streamers must be at least 16. First-time live access may take time to enable: YouTube for Artists advises enabling it at least 24 hours before the planned first broadcast. Check the current requirements in YouTube’s live-streaming setup guide and YouTube for Artists.
- In YouTube Studio, open Go Live and complete any verification or enablement steps shown.
- Choose the encoder route for an OBS broadcast in Live Control Room, then create or schedule the stream.
- Set the title, description, audience, and privacy options to match the actual program and your intended audience.
- Use the stream key and connection details provided in the current Live Control Room interface. Keep the key private; anyone with access to it may be able to broadcast to your channel.
Studio labels and controls can change, so follow the interface currently shown to your account rather than relying on old screenshots. Describe the stream as a continuous Hindi music broadcast only if the repertoire and presentation support that description.

3. Build the OBS scene and load the playlist
Install OBS and VLC before configuring the playlist source. OBS documents that its VLC Video source requires VLC; for 64-bit OBS, install a matching 64-bit VLC build. See the OBS VLC Video Source guide.
- Create a scene in OBS and add a background image or video only if you have the rights to use it.
- Add a VLC Video source and load the authorized local media files as a playlist.
- Set Loop Playlist on if you want playback to restart after the final item. The documented default is on.
- Choose whether to enable Shuffle Playlist. Its documented default is off.
- Play through the list and confirm the files, order, audio levels, and any visual material before going live.

OBS exposes both controls in its VLC source; the effect on a pre-written list follows from whether the playback order is fixed or randomized.

4. Add a scrolling song list
For a simple marquee, add an OBS text source, enter a newline-separated list of song titles and artists, then apply the Scroll Filter. You can enter text directly or enable reading from a text file if you want to edit a long list outside OBS. Position and size the source, choose a font that renders the Hindi script correctly, and use sufficient contrast and an outline or background so it remains readable over the scene.
- Select the text source in OBS and open its filters.
- Add the Scroll filter and choose horizontal or vertical movement.
- Set the horizontal or vertical speed and crop dimensions to suit the scene layout.
- Choose whether the source loops after moving off screen, then preview it at the intended canvas size.
OBS documents the Scroll Filter’s direction, speed, crop, and loop controls in its Scroll Filter guide and text source guide. A static text file does not know which VLC item is currently playing, so its contents will not automatically follow playback.

Static program list or changing now-playing label?

The community plugin guide for Tuna describes reading supported source metadata, including VLC, and writing formatted text files for OBS text sources. Check its current installation instructions, platform support, and compatibility with your OBS version before relying on it for a long-running stream. Verify the displayed title against actual playback. Do not promise viewers an automatic current-track display unless your implementation updates it correctly.

- Connect OBS to YouTube using the account integration or stream settings supplied by Live Control Room.
- Run a private or unlisted rehearsal with music cleared for that use.
- Check the YouTube preview, listen for continuous audio, and confirm the scrolling text is legible on both phone and desktop-sized screens.
- Inspect OBS and YouTube stream-health indicators before making the broadcast public.
OBS says increasing dropped frames, together with a yellow or red connection indicator, can point to an unstable connection to the streaming service or a bitrate the connection cannot sustain. Reduce the bitrate or resolution as appropriate and use OBS’s configuration guidance for your machine and connection: OBS stream connection troubleshooting. No specific bitrate is established here for every encoder, resolution, network, and audience; use the current OBS and YouTube guidance for your setup rather than copying an unqualified number.

For a continuous schedule, plan how you will detect and respond to failure. The computer or power supply may stop, the network may drop, VLC may stall, OBS may close, or YouTube may interrupt the stream. The workflow does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, so do not promise 24/7 uptime based only on a loop setting.
6. Choose horizontal or vertical format with the trade-offs in mind
YouTube’s current live guidance describes horizontal and vertical formats. Its format comparison says vertical live streams can appear in the Shorts feed and a scrollable live-stream feed, while horizontal streams support the listed live ad formats and clickable links. Feature access and eligibility can vary; review the current controls in Studio before building the channel plan around a specific feature. See YouTube’s live-stream format guidance.
YouTube for Artists says creators may use shopping features, Supers, and ads on live streams subject to access and eligibility. It also reported that “over 30% of daily logged-in YouTube viewers watched live content in Q2 2025.” That is a dated, platform-wide figure—not a forecast for a Hindi music stream, an estimate of its audience, or a revenue guarantee.
