To loop one Marathi song in OBS, add it as a Media Source and enable Loop. To repeat a collection, use an OBS VLC Video source, load the songs in order, and enable Loop Playlist. Then connect OBS to YouTube Live and check the preview before broadcasting. These settings repeat your media; they do not guarantee gapless transitions or keep a broadcast online if your computer, power, or internet connection fails.
Choose the right OBS source

OBS lists MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV among supported audio formats. Its listed video formats include MP4, TS, MOV, FLV, MKV, AVI, GIF, and WebM. The VLC Video source requires VLC to be installed; a 64-bit OBS installation requires 64-bit VLC. See OBS’s media-source documentation.
Loop one Marathi song
- In OBS, choose the scene where the song should play.
- In the Sources panel, select + and add a Media Source.
- Name the source, then select the local audio or video file.
- In the source properties, enable Loop and confirm the settings.
- Play the source and watch the OBS audio mixer. Confirm the meter moves when the song plays.
Listen through the end and the transition back to the beginning before going live. The Loop option repeats the file, but it does not promise a gapless transition.
Loop a playlist of songs
- Install VLC if it is not already installed. Match its architecture to OBS: use 64-bit VLC with 64-bit OBS.
- In OBS, add a VLC Video source to the scene.
- Add the local song files to the playlist in the order you want them to play.
- Enable Loop Playlist. Check shuffle and visibility-behavior settings so the playlist plays in the intended order and responds as you expect when the source is hidden or shown.
- Test several track changes, including the last song returning to the first. Watch the OBS audio meter and listen for unwanted gaps or abrupt cuts.
Playlist looping handles playback order and repetition; it does not provide a music license or a guarantee that YouTube stays connected.

Connect OBS to YouTube Live
Check channel eligibility and activation
YouTube’s published requirements say the channel must be verified, have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days, and belong to a creator aged at least 16. First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours. Check YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility requirements before scheduling a broadcast.
Configure the encoder stream
- In YouTube Studio, create or select an encoder stream in Live Control Room.
- Copy the stream’s server URL and stream key into OBS’s stream settings.
- Treat the stream key like a password: do not share it or show it on screen.
- Start streaming from OBS, then wait for the encoder preview in Live Control Room.
- Check that the expected scene and song are playing, the audio meter responds, and the preview looks and sounds right before starting the public broadcast.
For YouTube’s encoder workflow, see Set up your encoder for live streaming. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That archive may also be subject to the rights that apply to the music.

Clear music rights before broadcasting
Confirm that you have permission for every recording and composition, for the territories where the stream will be available and for any replay or archive you intend to keep. A track being Marathi, purchased, or available for personal listening does not by itself establish permission to broadcast it. The applicable rights depend on the specific recording, composition, rights holders, license, territory, and use.
YouTube’s livestream terms say creators represent that they hold the rights needed to use live content worldwide on Google services, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public-performance licenses), and other royalty participants.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn the creator; continued use can lead to temporary interruption or termination. YouTube says that if music is licensed, the creator can ask the owner to add the channel to its Content ID allowlist. A licensed track can still be interrupted if the channel is not allowlisted. A copyright or Community Guidelines strike may also terminate the stream. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyrighted content in live streams and contact the relevant rights holders about your specific tracks.
YouTube Creator Music is not a live-stream clearance route: YouTube’s help page says its catalog tracks can be used in long-form videos, not live streams or Shorts. The page describes availability for U.S. creators in the YouTube Partner Program and says expansion outside the U.S. is pending. See YouTube Creator Music eligibility and availability.

Keep the broadcast monitored
A looped file or playlist only repeats media. It cannot keep the broadcast online if OBS, the computer, power, or the network stops. YouTube recommends testing the setup, checking the preview, monitoring audio and video quality, and leaving upload-bandwidth headroom. See YouTube’s live-streaming tips.
- Rehearse the playlist and the final-to-first transition before making the stream public.
- Confirm the OBS audio meter is active and the Live Control Room preview contains the intended audio and video.
- Monitor the connection and stream status during the broadcast; playback repeating successfully is not proof that the encoder is still connected.
- Keep the stream key private and be prepared to reconnect OBS if the encoder or network stops.
Troubleshooting
