Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsTo repeat a prerecorded YouTube video in a desktop browser running on an Azure VM, open its watch page, right-click inside the video player, and select Loop. YouTube will replay that video continuously. This repeats playback on the watch page; it does not create a livestream.
Repeat one YouTube video in the Azure VM browser
- Connect to the Azure VM using your usual remote desktop method and open a desktop browser.
- Go to the YouTube watch page for the video you want to repeat.
- Right-click inside the video player and choose Loop. The video should repeat when it reaches the end.
YouTube’s desktop help describes this built-in player control. Browser and YouTube labels can change slightly over time, but the documented path is to right-click the player and choose Loop. See YouTube’s instructions for looping videos and playlists.
Loop a playlist instead
A single-video loop and a playlist loop are different controls. To repeat a playlist, open its playlist pane and select the playlist’s Loop control; use the video player’s Loop command when you want only the current video to repeat. YouTube’s Android app uses a different path: open Settings, choose Additional settings, then Loop video. In a playlist, its repeat control can switch between repeating the whole list and repeating one item.
Playback loop or continuous livestream?
| Goal | What viewers see | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Repeat an existing upload | The video’s ordinary YouTube watch page | The built-in Loop player control |
| Broadcast prerecorded material as a continuous live event | A YouTube livestream | A livestream encoder or service that sends prerecorded content to YouTube |
If viewers only need to watch an existing upload repeatedly, use Loop. A livestream is a separate publishing workflow; YouTube’s encoder guidance covers broadcasting a production and identifies cloud services such as Gyre for 24/7 prerecorded-video streaming. See YouTube’s encoder guidance. Do not treat a looping watch page as a live broadcast.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What Azure VM and Remote Desktop can affect
The Loop setting itself does not require a powerful VM or GPU. However, smoothness as you view the video remotely can depend on the VM’s network allocation and on how Remote Desktop transports graphics.
Outbound bandwidth
Azure VM sizes have different allocated outbound throughput. The VM-wide limit applies across its network interfaces and destinations, so other traffic from the VM can affect available capacity. Check the networking specifications for your selected VM size in Microsoft’s Azure VM network-throughput documentation.

Remote Desktop video
With ordinary remote graphics delivery, the VM encodes graphics for the local device. Encoding full-screen video can improve frame rate, but it also uses network bandwidth and resources at both ends. Where supported, multimedia redirection sends the video bitstream to the local device for decoding and rendering, reducing processing work on the VM. See Microsoft’s Remote Desktop graphics performance guidance for availability and configuration context.
GPU and codec settings
You do not need GPU acceleration just to loop a YouTube video. Microsoft says AVC/H.264 full-screen encoding can be enabled without GPU acceleration in Azure Virtual Desktop; HEVC/H.265 requires a compatible GPU-enabled VM. Microsoft Learn also says HEVC/H.265 can provide 25–50% better data compression than AVC/H.264 at the same video quality, or improved quality at the same bitrate. That comparison concerns remote graphics encoding, not the YouTube Loop control, and is not a reason by itself to choose a GPU VM. See Microsoft’s GPU acceleration guidance.

Troubleshoot a video that does not seem to repeat
- Loop is not enabled: right-click inside the player and select Loop again. Confirm you used the video player control rather than a playlist control.
- The playlist repeats differently than expected: use the playlist pane’s loop control for the list, or the player’s Loop command for the current video. On Android, the playlist repeat control can toggle between the whole list and one item.
- The video repeats, but looks choppy remotely: check the VM’s allocated outbound throughput and competing VM traffic. Remote Desktop graphics encoding can add resource and network load; use multimedia redirection if it is available and appropriate for your setup.
- You expected a public live event: the watch-page loop only repeats an uploaded video for playback. Set up an encoder or a cloud livestream service for a continuous broadcast instead.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your actual goal is a YouTube livestream built from prerecorded videos—not a viewer looping a watch page—StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload your video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It keeps the stream running without a computer at home, plays uploads at their original quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for YouTube livestreams, not ordinary watch-page playback. Learn more at StreamNeo, or start the free first day.
