To live stream yoga nidra music on YouTube in India, first confirm that your channel can go live, then choose a phone, webcam or encoder workflow and clear the music for both live use and the saved replay. Test the audio and upload connection before the session, and monitor YouTube’s Live Control Room while you stream. A track being online or labelled “free” does not establish that you have permission to use it.
Check that your channel can go live
YouTube’s general livestream guidance says the channel must be verified, have no livestreaming restriction in the preceding 90 days, and be operated by someone at least 16 years old. Confirm access in YouTube Studio before planning the event; YouTube may change eligibility or in-product steps. See YouTube’s livestream requirements.
Mobile streaming has additional conditions. YouTube’s mobile instructions list a minimum of 50 subscribers, channel verification, no livestream restriction in the preceding 90 days, a supported device, and enabling mobile livestreaming, which may take up to 24 hours the first time. Check the prompts for your account rather than assuming mobile access is available. The page’s India availability note for Playables is specific to that feature, not proof of mobile livestream availability. See YouTube’s mobile streaming instructions.
Choose a workflow for the session
| Method | Good fit | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile | A portable, simple session, especially when you are guiding viewers from one location. | Additional mobile eligibility conditions apply; check your account’s prompts. |
| Webcam | A straightforward session from a computer with a basic camera and microphone setup. | Less production control than an encoder workflow. |
| Encoder | A music-led stream, or a guided session that needs more control over audio, visuals or connected audio hardware. | Requires configuration and a test before the event. |
YouTube supports mobile, webcam and encoder workflows. For a music-only stream, choose a calm visual you have rights to use, such as a still or your own simple loop. For live spoken guidance, prioritize clear speech: check microphone distance and levels, and make sure the music does not mask your voice. You do not need expensive equipment to begin; an encoder simply offers more control. YouTube’s setup options and practical tips are in its general livestream guide and live streaming tips.

Clear the music for the live stream and replay
Use music you created, public-domain music whose status you have checked, or a track explicitly licensed for the way you plan to use it. YouTube recommends original music and its Audio Library, and says creators should check where and how third-party music may be used. “Free,” a credit line, or permission for an ordinary upload is not enough to establish livestream rights. Keep the track details and license with your event records. Read YouTube’s tips for finding safe music.
- Confirm that the permission covers YouTube livestreaming and the countries where viewers may watch.
- Check whether monetization is allowed if you intend to monetize.
- Confirm that the license also covers the saved recording or replay.
- Check whether the rights owner can allowlist your channel through Content ID, and arrange that before going live if needed.
A Creator Music track permitted for a standard monetized upload is not automatically cleared for a livestream: YouTube’s cited usage terms say revenue-sharing tracks under those requirements cannot be used in a livestream. Check the specific track terms and current regional availability before using one. See YouTube’s Creator Music usage details.

Even if you have a license, a third-party track can trigger a Content ID interruption if the channel has not been allowlisted. YouTube scans live streams for third-party material and may interrupt or terminate a stream; an archive may also receive a Content ID claim after the broadcast. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.
YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the creator to have the necessary rights for live content, including relevant music rights, and to comply with applicable laws and requirements in the territory of the livestream. The available platform guidance does not establish which permissions cover a particular Indian composition, recording, collecting-society arrangement or monetization setup. Confirm the rights for the exact composition and recording, territory and use; do not assume one license clears every element. Read YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions.

Schedule and test before viewers arrive
- Set up the stream in YouTube Studio. Create or schedule the live event, then follow the workflow for your chosen method. If you use an encoder, YouTube advises setting it up well before the event so you can review the preview.
- Configure the encoder if applicable. YouTube’s encoder guidance covers RTMP/RTMPS and audio and video settings. Choose settings your upload connection can reliably sustain instead of assuming a high bitrate is always better. See YouTube’s encoder settings.
- Run a controlled test. Use an unlisted or otherwise controlled test stream. Test on the connection and equipment you will use, with audio and movement similar to the real session. YouTube recommends a speed test and advises choosing reliable settings for the available upload connection.
- Check what viewers will experience. Review the event preview, confirm the stream is accessible from the channel or watch page and a mobile device, and listen for clean audio at a sensible level. If you record locally, verify that recording is being written.
- Start early enough to inspect stream health. Leave time before the session to catch connection, audio or setup problems rather than beginning at the advertised start time without a check.
YouTube’s live streaming tips recommend testing and monitoring quality. A stable setting for your own connection matters more than choosing a number that is too demanding for it.
Monitor the session, then check the replay
Keep YouTube’s Live Control Room open and watch for stream-health warnings. If YouTube detects third-party content, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you. Leaving the material in place can lead to temporary interruption or termination. After ending the stream, check YouTube Studio for copyright claims or restrictions on the archive; a clean live session does not guarantee that the replay will be free of claims.

Troubleshoot common problems
| Problem | Likely reason | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| You cannot start a livestream | The channel is not verified, has a current livestream restriction, or does not meet the chosen method’s eligibility conditions. | Check livestream access in YouTube Studio and the current eligibility prompts. For mobile, confirm the separate subscriber, device and enablement conditions in YouTube’s mobile instructions. |
| The encoder does not connect or the stream is unstable | The setup may be incomplete, or the chosen settings may exceed what the upload connection can sustain. | Check the encoder configuration and connection, then test again with reliable settings for the available upload speed. Consult YouTube’s encoder settings. |
| Viewers cannot hear the music or speech clearly | Audio levels, microphone placement or the balance between voice and music may be wrong. | Listen to a test from a viewer’s device; adjust the microphone distance and levels, and lower the music enough for spoken guidance to remain intelligible. |
| YouTube interrupts the stream over music | Content ID detected third-party material; a license alone may not stop an interruption if the channel has not been allowlisted. | Stop using the disputed material, resolve the rights issue, and ask the rights owner about channel allowlisting before a future stream. See YouTube’s live copyright guidance. |
| The broadcast finishes but the replay gets a claim | The saved archive can be checked separately from the live broadcast. | Review the claim and the track’s license in YouTube Studio; confirm that the permission covers the archive as well as live use. |
