The service runs the encoder remotely; you provide the video, YouTube stream key and destination settings. In India, first confirm that your channel is eligible for live streaming, then test the cloud stream and plan how to handle long-session archives.
What “24/7 live” means
A YouTube live stream still needs an encoder to send video to YouTube’s server. With a cloud service, the encoder runs remotely rather than on your computer. The cloud service must remain connected to the internet, but your home computer and connection do not have to stay on. This approach is for looping uploaded or prerecorded video, not broadcasting a live camera feed.
YouTube’s encoder documentation describes cloud-based tools for 24/7 prerecorded streaming and names Gyre. That mention does not establish current availability in India, pricing, service limits or uptime. Check a provider’s current terms and capabilities before relying on it.
Check YouTube eligibility before setup
- Your channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days.
- YouTube’s current live-streaming help page says streamers must be at least 16 years old.
- Open YouTube Live Control Room and create or schedule the stream before configuring the encoder.

Set up a cloud stream to YouTube
- Create the YouTube broadcast. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room, create or schedule a stream, and retrieve the stream URL and stream key. The exact labels can vary with YouTube’s interface.
- Choose a cloud service for prerecorded video. Confirm directly with the provider that it accepts customers in India and supports your intended video formats, playlist behavior, stream duration and restart needs.
- Add your video or playlist. Upload or select the prerecorded material in the service, then configure its YouTube destination with the stream URL and key. If the encoder supports RTMPS, use the exact RTMPS server URL shown in Live Control Room.
- Preview before going public. Check the picture and sound in YouTube’s preview, confirm that the feed remains connected, and test the provider’s loop and restart controls. Monitor stream health rather than assuming a successful initial connection guarantees a stable broadcast.
- Choose an archive plan. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its documentation does not establish that a single longer broadcast will be saved in full. If a complete archive matters, consider planned shorter sessions and verify YouTube’s current behavior.
Protect the stream key and use secure ingest
The stream key identifies the encoder feed YouTube should accept. Treat it like a password: do not share it or expose it in public screenshots or logs. If it is compromised, reset it in Live Control Room and update the cloud service with the replacement key.
When available, use RTMPS, which adds TLS/SSL security to RTMP. YouTube recommends this secure ingest option; copy the RTMPS URL provided in Live Control Room rather than guessing or reusing a URL from another setup. See YouTube’s RTMPS guidance.

Reliability checks for an always-on stream
Moving the encoder to the cloud removes dependence on a home computer, but it does not make the stream immune to interruptions. YouTube warns that insufficient upload bandwidth or network disruption can break a live stream. Preview and monitor the broadcast, leave bandwidth headroom, and, if your arrangement uses a backup encoder, test the failover path in advance. Before choosing a service, ask about India availability, supported video and playlist formats, maximum session duration, reconnection and restart behavior, alerts, output quality, archive workflow, concurrent stream limits, storage, support response, price and cancellation terms. Those are provider-specific details; YouTube’s encoder documentation does not establish them for any particular vendor.

Copyright and channel-policy checks
A 24/7 schedule does not change your responsibility for the material being broadcast. Use videos and audio you own or are authorized to stream, and review YouTube’s applicable copyright and live-streaming policies before scheduling a continuous loop. Repeating material does not itself establish that you have the rights to it, or that a channel will qualify for monetization; evaluate your content against YouTube’s current rules rather than assuming that duration or automation makes it eligible.
