Globoplay lists Amazon Fire TV Stick as a supported platform. To install it, find the official Globoplay app in the Fire TV app store, choose Install or Get, then activate it with your Conta Globo at globoplay.com/ativar. Availability can vary by country, Fire TV model, and Amazon marketplace, so the app may not appear in every store.
Before you start
Have a working Fire TV Stick connected to the internet, an Amazon account set up on the device, and enough free storage to install an app. You will also need access to the Conta Globo account you intend to use. Globo lists Amazon Fire TV Stick among the supported platforms, but that does not establish support for every model or marketplace. Amazon notes that Fire TV app availability varies by region. Installing the app does not itself create a paid subscription. Some content may be free, while access to particular programs, live channels, sports, or premium content depends on the applicable plan and location. If you subscribe through a TV provider, Globo says you may need to associate that provider with your Conta Globo first. See Globo’s sign-in and account instructions.
Install the official Globoplay app
- Turn on the TV and switch to the input connected to your Fire TV Stick.
- From the Fire TV home screen, open Apps or use the search function. Menu wording can differ by model, marketplace, and software version.
- Search for Globoplay.
- Select the official Globoplay listing and check that the developer is Globo or Globo Comunicação e Participações S.A.
- Choose Install or Get, depending on the label displayed on your device, and wait for installation to finish.
- Select Open, or find Globoplay later in your Apps library.
Globo’s consumer instructions say to search the app store for Globoplay and select Instalar. Use the official store listing when it is available; Amazon’s Fire TV documentation describes app distribution across regions and devices at its international distribution guide.

Activate Globoplay on your television
The code-based sign-in flow avoids typing a long password with the TV remote:
- Open Globoplay on the Fire TV Stick.
- Choose Minha Conta on the left side of the app.
- Choose Entrar.
- On a phone or computer, open globoplay.com/ativar.
- Sign in to the Conta Globo account associated with your access, if prompted.
- Enter the code shown on the TV and select Ativar.
- Return to the TV. Globo also says you can scan the displayed code with a phone that has a QR-code reader.
These steps follow Globo’s official product access instructions. If you subscribed through an operator, use the account association flow required by that provider before assuming the subscription is missing.
Globoplay does not appear in the Fire TV app store
An empty search result does not by itself prove that the Fire TV Stick is incompatible. App distribution can depend on the device model, Amazon account marketplace, and region; a store refresh or temporary search issue is also possible.

- Search again for Globoplay, including with Fire TV voice search if your remote supports it, and avoid similarly named unofficial apps.
- Restart the Fire TV Stick, then search again.
- Check for a Fire TV system update and confirm the device can reach the Appstore.
- Review the country or region associated with the Amazon account and its marketplace. Changing it is not a guaranteed way to make the app available.
- Compare your device with Globo’s minimum-requirements information and consult Amazon’s Fire TV specifications for model differences.
- If the app remains unavailable, contact Globoplay support or use another platform Globo lists, such as Android TV, Apple TV, Roku, compatible smart TVs, a computer, or a mobile device.
Do not treat a VPN as a confirmed fix: it may not change the marketplace, account, billing, protected playback, or title-rights restrictions, and Globo’s cited help material does not recommend using one to bypass regional availability.
The app installs but will not open or play
Work through the problem by layer. Fire TV menus vary, but Amazon documents installed-app management under Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications.
- App launch: Restart the Fire TV Stick, force-stop and reopen Globoplay, and check that the device has free storage.
- App data: In the installed-app settings, clear the cache. If that does not help, clear the app data and sign in again; this can remove saved app state.
- Installation: Update Fire TV software. If the problem continues, uninstall Globoplay and reinstall it from the official Appstore.
- Connection: Test another app or service, reconnect to the network, and restart the router if needed.
- Account: Repeat the activation flow with the intended Conta Globo account. If a code fails, return to the sign-in screen to generate another and check that you are signed in to the right account without extra spaces in the code.
- Content: Try another title. If only one program or event fails, check that title’s availability and whether your plan includes it; if all content fails, check the connection and account access.

Separate app availability, sign-in, and content access
These are different checks: the Fire TV marketplace determines whether you can download the app; Conta Globo authentication determines whether you can sign in; and your plan and the applicable location determine whether particular content is available. A successful installation or activation does not guarantee that every channel, sporting event, or title is included or offered in your location. Should you sideload an APK?
Not as the normal installation method. If the official Globoplay app appears in the Amazon Appstore, that route is simpler for updates, compatibility, and support. Amazon documents ADB installation, including adb install <path-to-apk-file>, as a developer installation/testing procedure—not as Globo’s recommended consumer path. An APK from an unofficial source may be outdated or modified, and may not work with authentication, protected playback, or the Fire TV remote. If the official app is not offered in your marketplace, a platform Globo lists—such as a compatible smart TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Roku, computer, or mobile device—may be a more dependable option than an unofficial installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Globoplay free to install on Fire TV Stick?
The app can be installed without that creating a paid subscription. Some content may be free; access to other titles, live channels, or sports depends on your plan and location.
Can I install Globoplay without an Amazon account?
The Fire TV Appstore requires an Amazon account configured on the device for the usual installation path.

What should I do if the activation code does not work?
Return to the app’s sign-in flow to generate a fresh code, confirm the browser is signed into the intended Conta Globo account, and check the TV and browser have internet access.
Will a VPN make Globoplay available?
That is not established as a reliable or officially recommended workaround. A VPN may not resolve marketplace, account, billing, playback, or content-rights restrictions.
