On a supported LG Smart TV in Canada, install Crave from the TV’s built-in store: press Home, open Apps (or LG Content Store on older models), search for Crave, select the official Bell Media app, then choose Install and Launch. Crave is available only on select LG models, so the app may be absent on older TVs, unsupported webOS versions, or TVs configured for another country.
Before you install Crave
- Your LG TV must be connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- The TV must be set up for Canada. Crave’s Canadian app listing says the service is available only in Canada: Canadian App Store listing.
- Have an LG account available. LG says Content Store use may require an LG account and acceptance of user agreements: LG Content Store guidance.
- You need either a direct Crave subscription or Crave access through a participating TV, internet, mobile, or other authorized provider. Installation itself can generally happen before you sign in.
- Keep a phone, tablet, or computer nearby in case the app displays a QR code or activation code.
Bell Media describes Crave as available on select LG Smart TVs, not every LG model: Bell Media platform information.

Install Crave on newer LG TVs
LG’s current webOS 22-and-newer route is:
- Turn on the TV and verify its internet connection.
- Press Home on the remote.
- Select Apps from the launcher.
- Select the Search icon, usually near the upper-right corner.
- Type Crave.
- Choose the official Crave app published by Bell Media.
- Select Install.
- When installation finishes, select Launch.
Afterward, Crave is normally available from the Home launcher or the Apps list. Menu placement can differ slightly by model and software version. LG’s instructions are at How to download smart apps on an LG TV.

Some older webOS interfaces use the LG Content Store instead of the newer Apps screen:

- Press Home.
- Select LG Content Store.
- Choose the search icon.
- Search for Crave.
- Select the app published by Bell Media.
- Choose Install, then Launch.

Sign in after installation
Direct Crave subscription
- Open Crave and select Sign In.
- Choose the option to sign in directly through Crave.
- Enter the email address and password used for your Crave account.
Bell’s plan instructions describe this direct-account sign-in method: Crave plans and account information.
Crave supplied by a provider
- Open Crave and select Sign In.
- Choose Access through Service Provider or the equivalent provider-login option.
- Scan the QR code or open the activation page shown on the TV.
- Enter the activation code if requested.
- Sign in with the account for the provider that supplies your Crave entitlement.
- Complete any account-linking steps shown by Crave.
Provider wording and activation pages vary. SaskTel’s documented flow uses Sign In → Access through Service Provider, followed by a QR code or provider activation page: SaskTel’s Crave activation instructions. Do not choose direct Crave sign-in when your access exists only through a provider and has not been linked.

Check your LG model and webOS version
LG’s menus vary by year. Use the path matching your TV:
- 2023 and newer (webOS 23 and newer): Settings → Settings/gear icon → Support → TV Information.
- 2021–2022 (webOS 6.0 or webOS 22): Settings → All Settings → General → Devices → TV Management → TV Information.
- 2020 (webOS 5.0): Settings → All Settings → Support → TV Information.
- 2014–2019 (webOS 4.5 or earlier): Settings → All Settings → General → About This TV → TV Information.
LG also says pressing the Mute button three times in succession can display platform information. Check the Canadian LG Content Store listing for your exact model rather than relying on a single universal minimum webOS version: LG Content Store availability guidance.
If Crave does not appear in the app store
- Confirm the TV is online and restart it.
- Confirm the TV’s country or region is Canada.
- Check the exact model number and webOS version.
- Search for Crave, not the old name “CraveTV.”
- Install any pending LG software update.
- Check the LG Content Store website for that model and region.
LG says app availability depends on region, model, and supported webOS versions. An absent listing usually means the app is unavailable for that combination, not that it can be added manually. Changing the region is not a guaranteed fix and can affect other apps and services. See LG’s troubleshooting guidance: LG smart-feature troubleshooting.

If Crave installs but will not work
| Problem | What to try |

| App will not open or shows a blank screen | Close and reopen Crave, restart the TV, test another app, update the TV and Crave, then delete and reinstall Crave. |
| Install is blocked | Check internet access, LG-account status, accepted user agreements, available storage, and software updates. |
| Sign-in is rejected | Use direct Crave sign-in only for a direct subscription; otherwise select the provider option and use the provider account. |
| Activation code fails | Use the QR code or page displayed by the TV, enter the code exactly, and generate a new code by restarting sign-in if necessary. |
| Playback buffers or stops | Test another streaming app, restart the router and TV, reduce network congestion, and use Ethernet where practical. |
| Only one account fails | Test Crave on another supported device and verify that the subscription is active and attached to the intended email address or provider. |
These are general recovery steps; exact Crave and LG behavior can vary by model, firmware, account, and network.

Newer LG interfaces
- Press Home.
- Select Edit App List, or highlight Crave and hold the selection for about three seconds.
- Select the trash-can icon and confirm deletion.
- Reinstall Crave from Apps.
Older interfaces
- Press Home and highlight Crave.
- Hold the selection for about three seconds.
- Select the X icon and confirm.
- Install Crave again from LG Content Store.
Can you copy Crave from a phone or USB drive?
Not through LG’s supported process. LG webOS is different from Android and iOS, so a phone version of Crave cannot simply be copied to the TV. Use the TV’s Apps or LG Content Store interface. Unofficial sideloading may be unsupported, unsafe, and incompatible with Crave’s account and DRM systems.
If the LG TV is unsupported
Connect a supported external device by HDMI instead of replacing a working television. Bell Media lists Crave availability on platforms including Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Chromecast, Roku, PlayStation, and Xbox, as well as select LG and Samsung TVs: Bell Media’s platform list. This is the practical fallback when Crave is absent from the Canadian LG store or the native app is unreliable.
Do not assume that a Premium subscription guarantees 4K on every LG TV. Bell lists Premium as supporting up to 4K, but actual resolution also depends on the title, TV model, app support, connection, and other technical requirements. Bell’s page displayed Premium at $21.99/month plus tax and Standard With Ads at $11.99/month plus tax when checked in August 2026; prices, taxes, promotions, and billing terms can change.
