How to subscribe directly through Crunchyroll
- Open crunchyroll.com/premium.
- Sign in to your Crunchyroll account or create one.
- Review the available tiers and select monthly or yearly billing if that choice is offered.
- If eligible, select Start 7-Day free trial; otherwise choose the paid-start option, currently labeled Skip free trial.
- Enter an accepted payment method and complete checkout.
- Before submitting payment, verify the plan, billing interval, renewal price, taxes and any promotional conditions.
- After checkout, open Profile → Settings → Membership Info to confirm the active membership and billing details.
Screen labels and available plans can vary by account and region, so rely on the terms shown at checkout.

Crunchyroll Premium plans and prices
The following U.S. monthly prices and benefits were displayed on the official Premium page on August 18, 2026. Taxes may apply, and Crunchyroll says prices and features can change.

“Simultaneous streams” means how many streams can play at once; it is not an unlimited household-sharing allowance. Devices signed in, offline downloads and concurrent playback are separate concepts. Catalog titles, dubs, subtitles and features vary by region.

Which plan should you choose?
Fan
Choose Fan if one person normally watches on one stream and wants ad-free viewing and the listed offline capability without Game Vault or higher Store discounts.
Mega Fan
Mega Fan is the practical middle choice when a household needs up to four concurrent streams, offline viewing or Game Vault.
Ultimate Fan
Choose Ultimate Fan only when six streams, Crunchyroll Manga, the higher Store discount or the 12-month swag-bag benefit will actually be used. The highest tier is not automatically the best value for a solo or occasional viewer.

Monthly versus annual billing
The Premium page displays yearly billing with a “Save 16%” message. Monthly billing costs more over a full year but is easier to stop; annual billing can lower the effective monthly cost while committing you for longer.

How the 7-day free trial works
- The trial is advertised for eligible new subscribers, not every account.
- It converts automatically to the selected paid plan after seven days unless canceled before renewal.
- Applicable taxes can be added to the renewal charge.
- Set a calendar reminder as soon as the trial starts.
- Deleting the app, signing out or removing a payment method does not cancel the membership.
Can you subscribe through Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, YouTube or PlayStation?
Crunchyroll lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal and Apple Pay, along with platform billing through Google Play, PlayStation, Roku, Samsung Pay, Amazon Prime channels, The Roku Channel and YouTube Primetime, subject to regional availability. A partner subscription is billed and managed by that partner.

When direct billing is better
- You want billing, plan changes and payment management in Crunchyroll account settings.
- You want the broadest use of Crunchyroll’s website and app ecosystem.
- You want one clear company responsible for cancellation.
When partner billing may make sense
- You watch mainly inside a Roku, Amazon, YouTube, Apple, Google Play or PlayStation ecosystem.
- A partner offers a promotion or more convenient payment.
- You accept that access and cancellation may be limited to that platform.
For example, a Roku Channel subscription is limited to The Roku Channel and cannot be linked to an existing Crunchyroll account. Do not buy a second membership before identifying who currently bills you.
Prepaid cards cannot be used directly for subscriptions, although Crunchyroll says they can be used for redeemable gift cards.
How to cancel Crunchyroll Premium
Direct card or PayPal billing
- Sign in through a web browser.
- Open the profile menu and select Settings.
- Open Membership Info.
- Select Cancel Subscription.
- Choose No thanks, Finish Cancellation, then submit or skip optional feedback.
Benefits continue until the end of the current paid period.

Apple or Google billing
- Open the Crunchyroll app.
- Tap the profile icon, then Membership and Manage.
- Select the current membership and continue to Apple or Google subscription controls.
- Cancel through Apple or Google.
A direct Crunchyroll.com subscription will not show the same in-app cancellation option.
Amazon, PlayStation, Roku or YouTube billing
Cancel through the same service used to subscribe. Crunchyroll support cannot make billing changes for memberships controlled by those partners.

- Check that you are signed into the account that holds the membership.
- Look for an Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, YouTube, PlayStation or other partner subscription.
- Check for a pending transaction; Crunchyroll advises waiting 24 hours if one is present.
- Check for duplicate subscriptions before starting another trial or plan.
- A gift-card-funded membership without a payment method can have different controls.
If the problem remains, use Crunchyroll’s support routes described at Crunchyroll Support.

Switching from a partner subscription to direct Crunchyroll billing
- Cancel the existing Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, YouTube, PlayStation or other partner membership.
- Continue using Premium until the current paid period ends.
- Wait until the account returns to Free status.
- Subscribe at the official Premium page.
This sequence helps prevent overlapping memberships and duplicate charges. A partner membership may not transfer to a direct Crunchyroll account.
Changing your plan or payment method
Direct billing
For card or PayPal billing, go to Settings → Membership Info, select Change Plan, choose the new tier, review charges and payment details, and select Finish Checkout. To update payment, choose Manage Payment Method → Add New Payment Method and confirm it is primary.
Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, YouTube, PlayStation and other partner subscriptions generally must be changed through their own billing controls. Downgrades may require canceling the current plan and subscribing again after the existing period ends. See Crunchyroll’s guides for plan changes and payment methods.
Is Crunchyroll Premium worth paying for?
Premium is most useful if you want ad-free viewing, episodes shortly after Japanese broadcast, offline downloads, multiple simultaneous streams, Game Vault, Crunchyroll Manga or Store benefits. If you watch only occasionally, the free tier or a single monthly subscription may be more sensible than an annual commitment. Premium does not guarantee every title worldwide; availability depends on region and plan.
