Use Drum Monkey when you want its AI drum generation and piano-roll editing: ask for a “minimal hip-hop-style verse loop with a head-nod pocket and a busier hook variation,” then export MIDI. Step 3: Remove Sample-Pack Dependence
- Prefer MIDI export for drums, bass and melodies. Load your own drum machine, synthesizer or recorded one-shots in the DAW, and program the sound choices yourself.

Step 4: Arrange The Beat For A Rapper
- Make the first four or eight bars sparse so the entrance is obvious.
- Keep the verse lower in density: remove a hat layer or melodic stab rather than adding another loop.

- Place a short drum fill or mute before transitions, then audition the loop against a scratch vocal.

- Generate: make several variations, keeping the same brief so you can compare groove rather than unrelated ideas.
- Edit: export MIDI or stems, replace sounds, move hits, shorten tails and carve space for vocals.
- Check: listen for unwanted resemblance, clipping and masking, then confirm the plan’s commercial terms before releasing a film, video or song.
