Crunchyroll does not publish a dedicated explanation for this code. Start with a private browsing window; if that works, clear Crunchyroll’s site data and check extensions. If it does not, try another browser, device, and network to narrow down where the failure lies.
What does Crunchyroll error WEBK-0 mean?
The code tells you that Crunchyroll could not complete a page, session, or playback request, but it does not identify why. Crunchyroll’s current loading troubleshooting guide and playback troubleshooting guide cover general failures and recurring error codes; neither provides a precise public definition for WEBK-0.
Browser data, extensions, app state, device compatibility, a network path, or a temporary Crunchyroll-side problem are all possibilities. The code alone does not establish an account suspension, expired subscription, region mismatch, DNS failure, or outage. A fix on one device also does not prove the account or service is working everywhere.
Try these quick fixes first
- Reload the page, or close Crunchyroll completely if you are using its app.
- Reopen Crunchyroll and try the same title again.
- Open the site in a private or incognito window. If it works there, browser cookies, cached data, or an extension may be involved.
- Try another supported browser. Crunchyroll lists Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari in its browser-login troubleshooting guidance; compatibility can vary by feature and device.
- If the error persists, try another device and then another network, such as a mobile hotspot.
On a computer, Crunchyroll’s playback guidance also gives hard-refresh examples: Ctrl + F5 on PC and Shift + Command + R on Mac. If the failure appears only on one episode, test another title before treating it as a general account or service problem.

Clear Crunchyroll’s browser data
Clear site data for Crunchyroll rather than wiping every saved item in the browser. The exact controls and labels differ by browser version.
- Open your browser’s privacy, cookies, or site-settings controls.
- Search for crunchyroll.com.
- Delete the site’s cookies and stored data.
- Restart the browser, open Crunchyroll, and sign in again.
Removing cookies signs you out and may remove site preferences. Crunchyroll recommends clearing browser cache and cookies, restarting the browser, and signing in again in its loading guide.
Check extensions, VPNs, and proxies
An ad blocker, script blocker, privacy extension, VPN, or proxy can interfere with some loading or sign-in flows. This is a troubleshooting possibility, not a confirmed explanation for WEBK-0. Crunchyroll advises temporarily disabling ad blockers and similar extensions for loading issues, and disabling VPNs or extensions for some browser-login issues.

- Temporarily turn off those tools and reload Crunchyroll.
- If playback starts, turn the tools back on one at a time to identify a conflict.
- Only whitelist Crunchyroll if you trust the extension and accept the privacy trade-off.
Do not use a VPN to bypass regional availability restrictions. If you changed settings just for the test, restore them afterward.

Change one variable at a time where practical. These results are diagnostic clues, not official meanings assigned to the code.

Check the network without changing DNS
- See whether other websites or streaming apps work.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or try a hotspot. A hotspot can use mobile data, so check your plan before extended playback.
- If available, try a wired connection.
- Restart the router and modem, then retry Crunchyroll.
- If playback starts but buffers or freezes, try a lower video quality setting.
Crunchyroll recommends router restarts and switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data for relevant loading and playback problems in its loading guide and playback guide. The guidance does not prescribe changing DNS for WEBK-0. DNS changes are an optional diagnostic experiment, not a first-line fix; they can introduce new connectivity problems and should be restored if they do not help.

Fixes for phones and tablets
Android
- Force-close Crunchyroll and reopen it; restart the phone if needed.
- Update the Crunchyroll app and Android.
- Clear Crunchyroll’s cache in Android app settings. If that does not help, clearing app data is a stronger reset and signs you out.
- Reinstall the app from the official app store if the error remains.
- Test Wi-Fi against mobile data.
iPhone and iPad
- Force-close Crunchyroll and reopen it; restart the device if needed.
- Update the app and iOS or iPadOS.
- Sign out and sign back in. If the problem continues, reinstall the app from the official app store.
- Test another network.
Crunchyroll’s playback guidance recommends reopening or force-stopping the app, restarting the device, updating the app and operating system, reinstalling where needed, and testing another device or network. Reinstalling is a practical reset on iPhone and iPad when the app does not offer a cache-clearing control.
Fixes for TVs and streaming devices
Android TV
- Turn off the TV, unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and restart.
- Test another app to confirm that the TV is online.
- Open the Google Play Store and update Crunchyroll.
- In the TV settings, open Apps > Crunchyroll > Storage, then select Clear Cache. If needed, select Clear Data, which removes local app data and login state.
- Reinstall Crunchyroll if the error continues.
This sequence comes from Crunchyroll’s Android TV playback guide. Menu names can vary by TV manufacturer and Android or Google TV version.
Roku
- On the Roku remote, press Home five times, Up once, Rewind twice, then Fast Forward twice.
- Wait for the Roku to restart; Crunchyroll says this takes approximately 15–30 seconds.
- If playback still fails, uninstall Crunchyroll and reinstall it through the Roku Channel Store.
These are the steps in Crunchyroll’s Roku playback guide. The cache sequence is a device-level troubleshooting step; it does not identify the account or service as the cause. If the issue returns, note the Roku OS and Crunchyroll app versions for support.

Fire TV and other connected devices
For Fire TV, smart TVs, Apple TV, Chromecast, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, or another supported device, restart the device, check for system updates, update Crunchyroll through the official app store, and sign out and back in. Reinstall the app if the device allows it, then test another title and network. Crunchyroll’s help center has a Fire TV troubleshooting guide and a broader Fix a Problem category. Its activation page lists supported platform types, but availability varies by platform and region.

A service-side issue is possible, but one WEBK-0 message is not proof of an outage. Check whether other titles work and test another device and network. Look for an official Crunchyroll announcement or support response; if failures are broad and local tests make no difference, wait briefly and retry.
The code also does not, by itself, indicate an account ban or an expired membership. Confirm that you are signed into the intended account and, if the affected content requires a membership, check that the subscription is active. If only one title fails, the issue may be specific to that title or its availability.

When to contact Crunchyroll Support
Escalate if the error persists after site-data cleanup, appears in multiple supported browsers or devices, or remains on both home Wi-Fi and mobile data. Contact support if updated or reinstalled apps and multiple-title tests have not resolved it, or if the issue repeatedly returns. Crunchyroll asks users reporting loading and playback problems for details such as the error code, device or browser, region, screenshots, and steps already tried in its loading guide and playback guide.
Include these details with your support request:
- Exact code: WEBK-0, with a screenshot or screen recording.
- Device model and operating-system version.
- Crunchyroll app version, or browser name and version.
- Country or region.
- Where the error occurs: sign-in, homepage, title page, or playback.
- Whether it affects every title or only one.
- Network used and whether you tested another network.
- Troubleshooting steps already completed.
Use Crunchyroll’s official support channels. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, or authentication codes to people claiming to offer help elsewhere.
