To install Hulu on a Windows PC, open Microsoft Store, search for Hulu, and select Get or Install if the official app is offered for your device. Store availability can depend on your region, PC, and account. If Hulu does not appear or will not install, stream at Hulu.com in a supported browser instead. The app is listed as free to install; watching Hulu may require a separate account or subscription.
Is there a Hulu app for Windows 10 and Windows 11?
Hulu appears in Microsoft’s PC entertainment listings as a free app. That does not guarantee it will appear for every Windows user: Microsoft Store listings can vary with region, device compatibility, account settings, and other restrictions.
On Windows 11, start by searching for Hulu in Microsoft Store. On Windows 10, do the same, but install it only if the Store offers the official listing and an install control for your PC. If it does not, use Hulu in a browser. Do not assume that Windows 10 and Windows 11 have identical Store availability.
Use Microsoft Store rather than a third-party download site. The available official information supports the Store and browser routes; do not treat an unofficial “Hulu for PC” .exe, APK, or repackaged installer as an authorized Hulu download.

Install Hulu through Microsoft Store
- Select Start and open Microsoft Store.
- Search the Store for Hulu.
- Check that the result is the official Hulu app, not a similarly named third-party listing.
- Select Get, Install, or the Store’s current download button. You may be asked to sign in to a Microsoft account.
- When installation finishes, select Open, or find Hulu in the Start menu.
- Sign in with your Hulu account. If you do not have one, visit Hulu’s official signup page to review current account and plan options.
Microsoft describes the general process as opening Microsoft Store, finding an app, and selecting its install control. Button wording can vary. Store apps may receive updates through the Store. See Microsoft’s Microsoft Store guidance.
If Hulu is missing from Microsoft Store
An absent listing does not necessarily mean you searched incorrectly. Microsoft identifies factors such as country or region, device compatibility, Family Safety restrictions, account authorization, and a recent Windows update that still needs a restart as possible reasons an app may not appear or install.

- Restart the PC, especially if Windows updated recently.
- Check that the PC is online and that you are signed in to Microsoft Store if prompted.
- Search for Hulu again and check that your Store region is correct.
- If the PC is managed by an organization or family account, check whether its restrictions block Store apps.
- Review Microsoft’s guidance on finding and installing Store downloads.
- If the listing remains unavailable, use Hulu in a browser rather than downloading an installer from another site.
Availability of a Store listing is separate from Hulu service availability: seeing the app does not ensure that the service is offered in your market.

- Open a current browser on your PC.
- Go to Hulu.com.
- Select Log In and enter your Hulu account details.
- Choose a title to stream.
Hulu’s Help Center includes guidance for streaming on a computer through a web browser. This is the fallback if the Store app is missing, incompatible, or not working. You can optionally create a website shortcut using your browser’s own menu; the exact labels vary by browser and version. A shortcut is not a separate Hulu Windows download. Browser extensions, cookies, privacy settings, or playback protections can affect streaming.

Is the Hulu app free?
The Microsoft Store listing labels the app Free. That refers to installing the application, not necessarily access to Hulu’s programs. You need a Hulu account, and viewing may require a paid plan or an eligible offer. Check Hulu’s signup page for current availability and terms; plan details and prices can change.

The download is stuck or fails
- Restart Windows and check for pending Windows updates.
- Reopen Microsoft Store and sign out and back in if needed.
- Check My Library in the Store to see whether Hulu is already associated with your Microsoft account.
- If ordinary troubleshooting has not helped, reset the Store cache: press Windows key + R, enter
wsreset.exe, and select OK. Microsoft documents this method in its Store download guidance. - Try Hulu in a browser while you resolve the Store issue.
Hulu installs but will not start or sign in
Restart the app and PC, then check for Store or Windows updates. Confirm that your Hulu credentials and account work at Hulu.com. The problem could involve the app, device support, or the account; avoid assuming a single cause. Consult Hulu’s Help Center and its guidance on unsupported devices and playback errors.
Video stutters or displays incorrectly
Test playback in one app or browser at a time and restart it. If you use more than one monitor, temporarily disconnect an external display or make the monitors’ refresh rates consistent to see whether the setup is contributing. If you are watching in a browser, try clearing its cache or temporarily checking whether an extension or privacy setting is interfering.

App download is not the same as offline downloads
Installing Hulu puts an app on the PC; it does not establish that you can download shows or films for offline playback. The available information here does not verify offline downloads on Windows PCs. Do not assume they are supported: availability can depend on the device, plan, title, and Hulu’s current policy. Check Hulu’s current download guidance before relying on offline viewing.
Which option should you use?
- Choose the Store app if the official Hulu listing appears and installs successfully. It provides a Start-menu app and Store-managed distribution.
- Choose the browser if the app is missing, incompatible, blocked, or giving you trouble. Hulu supports computer streaming through a browser, and it requires no separate app installation.
Neither route guarantees a particular picture quality or offline feature. Both require that your account and Hulu service be available to you.
