Yes. Create a separate YouTube Live stream for each programme, then configure your encoder to send the cartoon feed and bedtime-story feed to their own watch pages. You can run them at the same time if your encoder setup can produce two separate outputs. Before going live, check each stream’s audience setting, rights, archive plan and recovery process: YouTube does not guarantee uninterrupted 24/7 operation, and streams longer than 12 hours may not be archived.
Plan two distinct streams
Treat cartoons and bedtime stories as separate programmes, not as one feed with interchangeable titles. Give each stream its own title, description, thumbnail, audience setting and Live Control Room watch page. That helps viewers find the programme they expect and keeps the stream’s metadata aligned with its actual content.
The production workflow can be shared, but each live feed needs its own stream configuration and encoder output. A single stream key does not create two distinct watch pages. If you want both programmes live simultaneously, your encoder setup must send the intended video and audio to each stream separately; check that the software or hardware you choose supports the number of outputs you need.
Check channel eligibility and audience settings
Confirm that the channel can go live
YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Confirm eligibility in YouTube Studio before building a schedule around a continuous broadcast.

Decide whether each programme is Made for Kids
YouTube requires creators to identify each video or live stream as Made for Kids or not. Make the decision based on the programme’s actual content and intended audience—not simply because it is animated, family-friendly or suitable for children. YouTube lists factors such as the intended or actual audience, child actors, cartoons or appealing characters, child-oriented language, activities, songs, stories or poems, and whether the content is advertised to children. No single factor automatically settles every case, and YouTube may change a setting it considers incorrect.
Cartoons and bedtime stories intended for children are likely to be Made for Kids under those factors. Set the audience accurately; do not label child-directed material otherwise to retain features. On a Made-for-Kids live stream, features including live chat, comments, the notification bell, cards and end screens are disabled or restricted, and personalized advertising is unavailable. Plan audience interaction and revenue expectations accordingly.

Create each stream in YouTube Studio
- In YouTube Studio, open Go Live to enter Live Control Room. Create the cartoon stream and the bedtime-story stream separately. Use clear, distinct titles, descriptions and thumbnails, and set the audience for each based on its content.
- For each stream, use the stream URL and stream key shown in Live Control Room. Enter them in the corresponding encoder output. Keep track of which key and output belong to which programme, especially when scheduling both feeds at once. YouTube allows stream settings to be managed and reused, but reusing settings does not make two editorially separate watch pages from one feed.
- Configure each encoder output to use the correct video and audio source. For simultaneous streams, verify that cartoons go to the cartoon watch page and bedtime stories go to the bedtime-story watch page; do not assume that entering one key twice separates the content.
- Start the encoder output and wait for the preview in Live Control Room. Check the picture, sound and stream status for each feed, then start the broadcast. YouTube recommends preparing encoders in advance, checking the preview and monitoring audio and video. If your setup supports backup-encoder failover, test it before relying on it.
- Open both public watch pages and confirm that each shows the intended programme. Check them periodically during operation rather than treating a successful initial preview as proof that a continuous stream will remain healthy.
Choose an encoder setup that matches the job

YouTube’s encoder guidance describes the stream URL and key workflow and recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production-value events. The specific hardware, software, settings and capacity you need depend on your production and number of simultaneous feeds. The available guidance here does not establish one bitrate, resolution, keyframe interval or encoder preset for every channel and programme, so use settings supported by your encoder and verify the resulting preview and stream health rather than relying on a universal number.
Plan for archives, DVR and interruptions
Do not rely on a 24/7 stream as its own archive
YouTube says it can automatically archive a live stream that is less than 12 hours. A stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. The qualification matters: a longer stream is not guaranteed to disappear, but its archive is not dependable enough to be your only copy. If preserving episodes matters, keep local recordings and maintain your own archive. If a YouTube archive is important, consider successive sessions shorter than 12 hours rather than one uninterrupted broadcast.

Set expectations for rewind
DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours. Viewers joining an overnight or all-day feed may therefore be unable to rewind as expected. If catch-up viewing matters, publish or preserve recordings separately instead of relying on DVR for a very long live session.
Monitor and prepare for recovery
A 24/7 schedule is an operational goal, not a guarantee from YouTube. Monitor each watch page, audio, video and stream status, and decide who or what will respond if an encoder, connection or YouTube ingest stops. YouTube’s streaming tips recommend testing backup-encoder failover where available; test the recovery path before depending on it.

Clear rights before broadcasting
You are responsible for having the rights needed to stream and archive the material, including music. Check each element: cartoons, adaptations, story text, illustrations, voice performances, background tracks and other assets. A video being available online does not establish that you may rebroadcast it, and an old story does not automatically clear a particular edition, illustration, translation, performance or recording. Rights depend on the specific material and jurisdiction; verify the rights for each item before using it.

YouTube’s monetization policies apply to live streams. Its policy identifies repetitive or mass-produced material as “inauthentic content” and says reused content without significant original commentary, substantive modification or educational or entertainment value can be ineligible for monetization. Original episodes and stories with meaningful creative contribution provide a stronger editorial foundation than unattended looping of someone else’s work, but monetization approval or revenue is never assured. Made-for-Kids restrictions also affect advertising and engagement features.

Troubleshoot common failures
- The wrong programme appears on a watch page: Check the encoder output’s stream URL/key and its assigned video and audio sources. Make sure each output is mapped to the corresponding Live Control Room stream.
- Live Control Room does not show a preview: Confirm that the encoder is sending to the correct YouTube server URL and stream key, and that the output has started. Recheck the key for that specific stream before going live.
- One feed works but the second does not: Verify that the encoder setup supports two separate outputs and that both are configured and running. A second watch page requires its own stream configuration; duplicating a key is not a substitute.
- The stream stops and does not resume: Check the encoder, its host computer or hardware, network connection and YouTube stream status. Use a tested recovery or failover procedure if available; do not assume YouTube will keep an interrupted encoder session running.
- A long stream has no complete replay or rewind: This can occur with sessions exceeding 12 hours. Keep local recordings and use shorter sessions when a YouTube archive is important; DVR rewind on very long streams can also be limited or unavailable.
- Chat or other audience features are missing: Check whether the stream is correctly designated Made for Kids. YouTube restricts or disables several features on such streams; do not change an accurate audience setting just to restore them.
- A stream is not eligible for monetization: Review the content for rights issues, repetitive or mass-produced material, and reused content that lacks meaningful original contribution. YouTube’s policies do not guarantee monetization merely because a stream is live or continuous.
