You can turn existing YouTube episode videos into a podcast listening destination by creating a podcast in YouTube Studio or adding podcast features to an existing playlist. This organizes episodes for listeners to play on demand; it does not create a confirmed 24/7 live radio stream that automatically rotates them.
Choose what you mean by “radio station”
If you want viewers to find and play your existing episodes together, use YouTube’s podcast playlist. YouTube describes a podcast as a playlist and its episodes as videos in that playlist. Podcast features may support podcast discovery and YouTube Music eligibility, but those outcomes are not guaranteed.
If you mean a continuous live broadcast that plays episodes around the clock, a podcast playlist is not that: the official setup guidance does not document a native feature that continuously loops or rotates existing episodes as a live stream. Do not present the playlist workflow below as a 24/7 broadcast setup.
Create the podcast from your existing videos
You can either designate an existing playlist as a podcast or create a podcast and add videos already published on your channel. YouTube’s current instructions are in Create a podcast in YouTube Studio.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Open YouTube Studio. To create a podcast and use an existing playlist, choose Create → New podcast, then choose the option to set an existing playlist as a podcast. Alternatively, go to Content → Playlists, open the playlist’s options, and select Add podcast features.
- Review the podcast details. Check the title, description, visibility, and thumbnail. Use the show’s actual name and explain what listeners will find. YouTube recommends a square 1280 × 1280-pixel thumbnail on the podcast details page.
- Add the existing episodes if you made a new podcast. Go to Content → Podcasts, open the podcast, choose Add videos → Add your existing videos, select the published episodes, add them to the podcast playlist, and save.
- Set the episode order. For an episodic show, YouTube’s setup guidance says to put the newest episode first; for a serial show, put episodes oldest to newest. Its discovery tips also advise ordering episodes as listeners should consume them. Choose the order that fits your show’s format.
- Check the finished playlist. Confirm that it contains the intended full-length episodes, that the details and visibility are correct, and that listeners can play episodes in the order you selected.
Keep the podcast focused on one show
YouTube’s podcast discovery tips recommend one public podcast per show, with full-length episodes from all seasons together. Avoid using the podcast playlist for clips, a different show, or videos from other channels. YouTube also notes that playlists containing content the creator does not own may be ineligible for podcast features.
Use the show’s name rather than a generic label such as “Full Episodes” or “New Uploads.” A concise description should identify the programme and help a listener understand what the episodes cover.

Know what YouTube’s podcast setup does—and does not do
- Episodes are videos. YouTube’s podcast model uses videos in a playlist; you cannot turn an MP3 directly into a podcast episode there. An episode video can support audio-only playback.
- Discovery features are possibilities, not promises. Podcast badges, recommendations, search improvements, and YouTube Music inclusion may be available, but eligibility and placement are not guaranteed.
- A playlist is not a live broadcast. The documented podcast workflow gives listeners an on-demand destination. It does not establish continuous live playback or automatic episode rotation.
- RSS is another publishing route. YouTube also documents connecting an RSS feed, including distribution by some podcast hosts. That route is not required when your episodes already exist as YouTube videos. See Distribute podcasts on YouTube.
Check rights and YouTube policies
Podcast episodes must comply with YouTube policies. Episodes that violate copyright rules may not qualify for podcast features, and podcasts remain subject to YouTube’s Community Guidelines and, if monetized, its monetization policies.
If you choose to make an actual live stream using episode material, account for live copyright scanning. YouTube says it scans live streams for third-party content; a match may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. Even licensed material can trigger an interruption unless the rights holder allowlists your channel through Content ID. Confirm that you have the necessary rights for episode audio, music, and other third-party material before broadcasting. See Copyright issues with live streams.

Review how the podcast is performing
Use podcast analytics in YouTube Studio to review views, watch time, traffic sources, audience information, and engagement. These reports can help you see whether listeners are discovering and using the podcast playlist; they do not turn it into a live radio stream.
