You can broadcast Marathi devotional recordings continuously on YouTube by playing an authorized playlist through an encoder and sending it to a YouTube Live event. First clear the rights, enable livestreaming on the channel, connect the encoder with the event’s stream URL and key, then test and monitor the output. A computer-based setup needs reliable power and internet; a cloud option can keep the stream running without leaving a computer on at home.
1. Clear rights to every recording before you build the playlist
Confirm that you have permission to livestream each recording and, if you intend to keep a replay, to retain that archive. Check the rights to the sound recording, musical composition, performance, lyrics, and any images or video included. Devotional or traditional subject matter is not automatically free to use.
YouTube scans livestreams for matches to third-party content. Its guidance says a placeholder may replace the broadcast, and continued detection can interrupt or terminate the stream. Even if you hold a licence, the rights holder may need to allowlist your channel through Content ID to prevent interruptions. See YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.
2. Prepare the channel and create a Live event
- Verify the channel and check its status. YouTube requires a verified channel with no livestream restrictions during the previous 90 days. See YouTube’s livestream eligibility guidance.
- Enable livestreaming in advance. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave it until the planned launch.
- Open YouTube Studio → Create → Go Live. Create a stream or schedule one in the Live Control Room. Scheduling can give viewers a page to visit and a way to set reminders.
- Copy the event’s server URL and stream key. You will enter both in your encoder. Keep the key private: anyone who gets it may be able to send a feed to your event.

3. Choose how to play the recordings continuously
The basic chain is: authorized video files → playlist or playout source → encoder → YouTube Live. Choose the route based on what you can keep running and monitor.

YouTube’s encoder directory also lists Gyre for continuous prerecorded streaming. These directory listings identify examples; they are not endorsements, price comparisons, or guarantees of uninterrupted service. Match output to your recordings and encoder, and consult YouTube’s current technical encoder specifications before setting specific values.

4. Connect the encoder, test the feed, and start the event
- Build and inspect the playlist. Use only cleared recordings. Check that files play through correctly, including audio, transitions, and the point where the playlist loops.
- Enter the YouTube connection details. In the encoder, paste the event’s server URL and stream key. Choose the playlist or playout source as its input.
- Start the encoder and check the Live Control Room preview. Confirm that YouTube receives both picture and sound; begin the event in the Live Control Room if the selected workflow requires it.
- Test before the public launch. Check the event from its channel or watch page and on a phone. Confirm that the intended audience can access it.
- Monitor the live output. Check audio and video quality and confirm that playback continues through the loop. If recording locally, YouTube recommends checking that the archive file is growing.
- Write down a recovery plan. Decide who checks the feed, how to restart the encoder or playlist, and where a backup copy of the authorized files is stored.
YouTube recommends testing, previewing, and monitoring, but its guidance does not promise a particular uptime or provide a Marathi-specific reliability setting.
5. Plan for archives and monetization separately
YouTube’s encoder guide says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume that an indefinitely open event will be archived: if replay matters, consider scheduling bounded events and check the current behavior in Studio.

YouTube’s guidance published August 12, 2026 says public archived livestreams can count toward qualified YouTube Partner Program watch hours, while livestreams that are not archived do not. That is a qualification rule, not a guarantee that a channel will be accepted into the program or earn money. Monetization depends on meeting eligibility requirements and enabling the relevant features; a long broadcast alone does not establish eligibility or earnings. 6. Troubleshoot common failures
- You cannot start a livestream: Check channel verification, livestream restrictions, and whether first-time activation has completed. YouTube says activation can take up to 24 hours.
- The Live Control Room receives no feed: Check that the encoder has the correct event’s server URL and stream key, that the encoder is running, and that the selected input is playing.
- The stream shows a placeholder or gets interrupted: YouTube may have detected third-party content. Review the recording’s rights and Content ID status; ask the relevant rights holder about allowlisting where appropriate.
- The playlist stops or the broadcast goes offline: Check whether the playback source, computer, power, or internet connection failed. Follow the documented restart procedure and confirm the feed returns in the Live Control Room.
- Audio or picture is poor: Check the source files, playback output, encoder settings, and sustained upload connection. There is no single universally supported setting for every source; consult YouTube’s current encoder specifications rather than guessing a bitrate or format.
- No replay appears: Check the event duration and archive status in Studio. The published encoder guidance’s automatic-archive statement applies to streams under 12 hours, not to an indefinitely open event.
