You can run a 24/7 Marathi lofi stream on YouTube with either a computer running OBS Studio or a cloud playlist service. First confirm your channel can livestream, clear the rights to every audio and visual asset, then test the complete playlist and YouTube’s stream health before relying on it continuously. OBS gives you more control over scenes but requires your computer, power and internet to stay available; a cloud service can keep sending uploaded media after your computer is off. Neither method guarantees viewers or monetization.
Before you build the stream
Confirm livestream access
Verify your YouTube channel and check that it has no livestream restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube says livestreamers must be at least 16. Encoder streaming is one of the platform’s available ways to go live and suits a prepared music-and-visual program. YouTube’s help page also lists limits of 10 simultaneous active streams per channel and three per stream key; these are unlikely to affect a single lofi broadcast. See YouTube’s livestreaming help for current access details.
Prepare the full program and clear its rights
Gather the music and visuals you intend to broadcast, and confirm that you own them or have permission covering public livestreaming, archiving and the intended territories. Keep records of those rights. If a third party licensed you music, ask the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. A “royalty-free” label, a credit line or a disclaimer is not a substitute for permission, and a license does not necessarily stop a live interruption if the owner has not allowlisted your channel.
YouTube scans live broadcasts for third-party content. It may warn you, replace the live picture with a placeholder, interrupt the stream or terminate it if matched content remains. An archived broadcast can also receive a Content ID claim after the live ends. Resolve these risks with each rights holder before launch. Read YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.

Choose how to keep the stream running
| Method | What stays running | Best fit | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| OBS Studio on your computer | Your computer, OBS, internet connection and power | Creators who want hands-on control of scenes, overlays and local production | A local outage or shutdown can interrupt the broadcast |
| StreamNeo cloud playlist | The cloud service sends uploaded videos to YouTube | Creators who want a prerecorded playlist to continue without keeping a home computer on | You configure the YouTube stream and should still monitor it; check service terms and costs |
OBS Project cautions that basic system compatibility does not guarantee that a machine can stream effectively. Requirements vary with encoder, resolution, frame rate and scene complexity. See the OBS Studio system requirements.
Set up a local 24/7 stream with OBS
1. Install OBS and prepare the scene
- Install OBS Studio on a compatible computer and create a scene for the broadcast.
- Add your prepared video as a media source and enable looping, or arrange multiple files as a playlist using a transition method you have tested.
- Set up the audio and visuals you want viewers to see. For a prerecorded music-and-art stream, a camera, microphone, preamp and capture card are not required.
- Make sure the computer can remain powered, connected to the internet and available to OBS continuously. Disable sleep or automatic shutdown that would stop the encoder.
2. Create the YouTube broadcast and connect OBS
- Open YouTube Live Control Room and create or schedule the livestream.
- In YouTube’s stream settings, obtain the stream URL and private stream key. In OBS, open Settings > Stream, select YouTube as the service and connect using the stream key or available account connection.
- Keep the key private. Do not publish it or send it in chat; anyone with access to it may be able to broadcast to your stream.
- Start the OBS stream and confirm that YouTube receives both the expected picture and sound. Check YouTube’s stream health before you make the broadcast public or rely on it.
3. Choose a tested encoding profile
A commercial guide updated June 12, 2026 lists a starting profile of 1080p at 30 fps, 10 Mbps video and AAC stereo at 128 Kbps, with constant bitrate, a two-second keyframe interval, progressive scan and RTMPS when available. Treat that as a dated vendor summary, not a verified current official specification. YouTube’s recommendations can change, so check its current encoder guidance before configuring a real broadcast. If your connection cannot sustain the chosen bitrate, lower the output rather than accepting repeated drops.

4. Test every file and a full playlist pass
- Play each file through OBS and confirm that YouTube receives the intended audio and video.
- Watch at least one complete playlist cycle. Transitions can reveal differences in codecs, frame rates or audio layout that are not apparent within a single file.
- Check stream health during the test and again after changing sources or settings.
- Keep backup media available so a damaged or missing file does not leave the program without usable content.
A stream that works in a brief test is not proof that a 24/7 local setup will survive every power, network or computer interruption; those remain part of the broadcast system.

Copyright, channel health and audience expectations
Genre and language do not change the basic need for rights clearance. The cited YouTube guidance does not establish a special exception for Marathi music or lofi. A continuous broadcast does not grant rights to music or artwork, and a license may not prevent Content ID matching without an allowlist arrangement. Plan for possible interruption and post-stream claims rather than assuming a track is safe because it is labeled royalty-free.
Keeping a stream available is not the same as earning an audience or revenue. Continuous availability alone does not guarantee discovery, views or monetization. YouTube Partner Program thresholds and current repetitive-content eligibility rules are not established here, so check YouTube’s current monetization policies separately rather than relying on a 24/7 schedule as a qualification strategy.

Troubleshoot common failures
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check or do |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube will not accept the stream | Channel access is not enabled, a restriction applies, or the stream key/settings do not match | Check channel verification and restrictions in Live Control Room; copy the current stream URL and key into OBS and keep the key private. |
| YouTube receives video but no sound | The media source or OBS audio routing is not sending audio | Check the source’s audio output and OBS mixer meters, then confirm sound in YouTube’s preview before publishing. |
| Stream health reports instability or the broadcast drops | The local connection cannot sustain the selected output or the computer/power has interrupted encoding | Check the internet connection and OBS output settings; reduce bitrate or resolution if needed. For a local stream, keep the computer and power available. |
| A track triggers a warning, placeholder or interruption | YouTube matched third-party content, or the rights owner has not allowlisted the channel | Stop using the disputed asset until its rights and Content ID status are resolved with the owner; do not assume a license automatically prevents matching. |
| Playback breaks at a playlist transition | Files differ in codec, frame rate or audio layout, or a file is incomplete | Test every transition and a complete playlist cycle; replace or standardize problematic media and keep backup files ready. |
