Can you stream Telugu devotional songs 24/7 on YouTube?
Yes, if your channel is eligible and you have the necessary rights for the music you broadcast. A bhakti, bhajan or kirtan theme does not automatically make a particular recording free to use: the actual recording and the underlying composition may have separate rights. YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility for necessary music rights on the creator. YouTube also scans live content and may interrupt or end a stream when it detects third-party material.
A license alone may not prevent an interruption. YouTube says a rights owner may need to allowlist your channel for the licensed content. Get written permission covering the territories you intend to serve, live streaming, any archive you plan to keep, and channel allowlisting. 1. Check your channel before launch day
You need a verified YouTube channel with no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well in advance rather than waiting until your planned launch (YouTube Help: get started with live streaming).

- Verify the channel. Complete YouTube’s channel verification process if you have not already.
- Check live access. In YouTube Studio, open the live-streaming flow and confirm the channel is permitted to stream.
- Allow time for activation. If this is the channel’s first live stream, account for the possible activation delay of up to 24 hours.
2. Clear the music rights track by track
Make a rights list for every item in the playlist. Confirm permission for both the specific sound recording and the composition where applicable. A recording of a traditional devotional song may still have a protected arrangement, performance or recording; do not assume its subject or age makes the version you have safe to broadcast.
- Confirm that permission covers continuous YouTube live streaming, not only personal listening, downloads or on-demand uploads.
- Confirm the territories covered, particularly if the stream is available worldwide.
- Confirm whether YouTube may keep an archive and whether that archive may remain public.
- Ask the rights owner or authorized representative to allowlist your YouTube channel where required to avoid automated live interruptions.
- Keep written permissions and contact details accessible while the stream is running.
If a rights claim or interruption occurs, do not simply restart the same playlist and assume the problem is solved. Identify the detected material, contact the relevant rights holder, and correct the permission or playlist issue before resuming.
3. Choose a continuous-stream setup
YouTube supports software and hardware encoders. In either setup, you create a stream in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and provide the encoder with YouTube’s server URL and stream key. Treat the key like a password: anyone with access to it may be able to send video to your channel. Do not publish it, include it in screenshots, or share it with people who do not operate the stream (YouTube Help: encoder setup; YouTube Help: create a live stream with an encoder).
Software encoder on a computer
A software encoder is a practical do-it-yourself choice when a computer can remain powered, connected and monitored. Prepare a playlist that loops in the encoder, add a still image or other visual if appropriate, and configure the stream output using the settings supported by your encoder and YouTube. The computer, software, power supply and internet connection all become part of the continuity plan. Confirm that the encoder restarts the playlist after a crash or reboot, rather than requiring a person to relaunch it.

Standalone hardware encoder
A hardware encoder can operate without a general-purpose computer running encoder software, depending on its configuration and workflow. YouTube lists the AJA HELO Plus as a hardware encoder for direct YouTube Live streaming (YouTube’s encoder list). It is an optional device, not a requirement for a basic stream with an image and audio. Check current compatibility, availability and cost before buying; those details are not established here.

4. Create and configure the YouTube live stream
- Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. Create a stream and set its title, description, privacy and schedule to match your channel plan.
- Choose the stream type and copy connection details. Get YouTube’s server URL and stream key from the Live Control Room. Keep the key private.
- Enter the details in the encoder. Paste the URL and key into the encoder’s streaming destination fields. Avoid sending the key to a public chat or storing it in a shared document.
- Set the audience and monetization options. Choose the audience setting and any other available stream options. Ads and features such as Super Chat depend on channel eligibility; do not assume they will be available or provide a guaranteed income.
- Preview before going public. Use the Live Control Room preview to check that YouTube is receiving the intended audio and visual before you start the public broadcast.
5. Design the playlist, continuity and archive plan
Build and test the full sequence rather than checking only that the first song plays. Verify loop behavior, transitions, artwork or visual playback, and whether the encoder resumes correctly after a disconnection or restart. Make the stream’s title and description clear that it is a continuous devotional music broadcast, and ensure all listed tracks are actually in the playlist.
YouTube automatically archives streams shorter than 12 hours. Do not count on a single uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast being archived in full. If preserving a recording matters, decide whether to use shorter broadcast segments or a separate recording workflow, and test any handoff so viewers know whether the stream is ending, restarting or continuing elsewhere (YouTube Help: live-stream archives).

6. Test the whole chain and prepare for failures
Before announcing the stream, run a full test using the actual playlist and setup. YouTube recommends upload bandwidth with a 20% margin above the total stream bitrate (YouTube encoder setup guidance). A long-running broadcast also merits practical checks of heat, power, connection stability and automatic restart behavior; none of these checks guarantees uninterrupted service.
- Watch the preview and public watch page: confirm sound, visual, title and privacy from the Live Control Room and a viewer-facing device.
- Check a phone on a separate connection: verify audio is audible and the image displays properly on mobile.
- Check local recording, if used: confirm the recording file is growing and that disk space is sufficient.
- Test recovery: simulate or observe a brief network or encoder interruption, then check whether the stream resumes and the playlist continues as expected.
- Check unattended operation: for a computer or hardware setup, verify power settings, cooling, network stability and restart behavior over an extended test.
Common problems and fixes
YouTube does not let the channel start a live stream
Confirm channel verification and live-stream eligibility, including whether a restriction applies from the previous 90 days. If live streaming was just enabled for the first time, activation may take up to 24 hours; complete setup before the planned launch.
The stream starts, then gets interrupted for music
YouTube may have detected third-party content. Check which track was playing, verify rights for the recording and composition, and ask the rights owner about channel allowlisting. Do not assume that a license without allowlisting prevents automated interruptions.
The stream disconnects or the playlist stops
Check upload stability and bandwidth headroom, encoder logs, power and device temperature. Confirm that the encoder or service is configured to reconnect and resume playback, then test that behavior rather than relying on it unverified.

The stream is live but silent or visually wrong
Check the encoder’s selected audio source, output level, playlist playback and visual source. Compare the preview with the public watch page and a mobile device; correct the source or encoder configuration before leaving it unattended.
The full 24 hours are not available as an archive
YouTube automatically archives streams shorter than 12 hours. For a full-day program, plan shorter segments or a separate recording method if retaining the entire broadcast is important.
