One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchFor a prerecorded 24/7 YouTube channel, compare cloud playout plans by the full monthly cost of one stream at your target quality—not by the headline price alone. Check simultaneous streams, destinations, resolution and frame rate, storage, looping and scheduling, recovery, and archive needs. A cloud playout service runs prepared video from provider infrastructure while your computer is off; a browser studio or multistreaming subscription is a different kind of service.
First, make sure you are comparing the right kind of service
Cloud playout is designed to broadcast prepared video or audio on a loop or schedule. It is distinct from:
- A live studio: a browser-based place to produce or host a live show.
- An RTMP relay or multistreaming service: a service that forwards an encoder feed to one or more destinations.
- A local setup: OBS or hardware encoding on equipment you operate and keep connected.
If your source is a prerecorded documentary, playlist, or other prepared media, prioritize cloud playout. If you need a camera or real-time production workflow, compare studio and relay features separately. Cloud operation removes the need to keep your own computer running, but it does not make YouTube or the provider immune to interruptions.
How to compare plans fairly
- Set the workload. Define one stream running continuously for a full month, then note the resolution and frame rate you actually need. Do not compare a plan’s 1080p/30 fps allowance with another plan’s 1080p/60 fps as though they were identical.
- Count streams and destinations separately. A simultaneous stream is a concurrent broadcast; destinations are the platforms or endpoints it can be sent to. Confirm whether extra streams or destinations cost more.
- Check media capacity and workflow. Compare storage, upload limits, playlists, looping, scheduling, and whether the service is built for persistent playback rather than occasional events.
- Normalize the bill. Include the monthly billing cadence, additional-stream charges, storage or upload limits, quality-related charges, usage credits, taxes, and any trial-to-paid terms. For credit-based pricing, estimate the credits for your intended quality and duration rather than treating an example estimate as a fixed subscription.
- Assess continuity claims cautiously. Look for monitoring, automatic restart or recovery, and a service-status page. Provider statements describe capabilities, not independently verified comparative reliability.
- Decide how you will preserve the broadcast. Continuous streaming and keeping a full-length archive are separate requirements. Check YouTube’s current archive behavior and whether you need a separate recording or storage plan.
- Verify rights and platform rules. Use media you own or are licensed to broadcast. YouTube Help states: “All content in live streams must adhere to our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.” See YouTube’s live-streaming help for current guidance.
Monthly plan examples: what the listed price includes
The following are provider-published examples on pages accessed October 3, 2026. They are not a benchmark: the services bundle different capabilities, so the listed monthly figures are not directly interchangeable. Confirm the current checkout price, billing terms, taxes and feature availability before subscribing.

Where adjacent services fit—and where they do not
Not every service with live-streaming features offers a comparable always-on prerecorded playout plan. Use these distinctions to avoid comparing unlike subscriptions:
- Restream: an adjacent option for multistreaming and scheduling uploaded video, not a directly comparable persistent-loop monthly tier in the surfaced upload-page information. Its help says there is no service-side duration limit, but warns that maintenance may restart a continuous stream longer than 24 hours and recommends restarting every 24 hours.
- StreamYard: a browser studio for scheduled shows and production, not a clear single-stream 24/7 prerecorded loop alternative. Its help lists maximum live-stream durations of 10 hours per stream on Core and Advanced, and 24 hours on Business.
- Playout.video: a hybrid product whose page describes one persistent 24/7 channel alongside multistreaming, a browser Live Studio, and add-on scaling for streams, storage, and quality. Distinguish the persistent playlist channel from its live-studio features and check current plan pricing.
These descriptions are provider-published claims, not independent tests. In particular, a service’s recovery or uptime language should not be treated as proof that it is more reliable than another service.

Plan separately for YouTube limits and VOD archives
YouTube Help currently states a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and three per stream key. These platform limits are separate from how many streams a provider’s subscription includes. Confirm current YouTube limits and eligibility in YouTube Help before configuring a channel.
Do not assume a continuous broadcast will be preserved as one full-length YouTube VOD. Restream’s help says YouTube archives streams shorter than 12 hours. If a complete archive matters, plan a separate recording or storage workflow and verify YouTube’s current behavior; the provider’s playout storage and YouTube’s archive are not the same thing.
