You may be able to find some former UltraViolet titles in the retailer account that retained them, then connect that retailer to Movies Anywhere. Only eligible movies sync, so this does not guarantee that your old library will transfer in full.
Find out whether a former UltraViolet movie is still in a retailer account
Start with the digital retailer where you previously accessed the movie, not with UltraViolet. Warner Bros. Digital Support confirms that UltraViolet ceased operations on July 31, 2019. There is no current UltraViolet account connection to add in Movies Anywhere.

Sign in to the retailer account you used for the title and check its movie library. A title may remain there if that retailer retained it, but the availability of an old UltraViolet entitlement is not guaranteed.
Connect the retailer account to Movies Anywhere
- Sign in or register with Movies Anywhere. Registration is limited to people aged 18 or older who reside in the United States, its territories, or specified associated states. The account service is free; movie purchases are made through connected retailers.
- Connect the retailer. Open the retailer or account settings in Movies Anywhere and link the account where the movie appears. As of October 4, 2026, Movies Anywhere’s Terms of Use list Apple iTunes, Amazon Prime Video, Fandango, Google Play/YouTube, Xfinity, Verizon Fios TV, and DIRECTV as connectable retailers. Participation can change.
- Check your Movies Anywhere collection. Movies Anywhere says eligible movies from connected accounts are brought into one synced collection. Only titles eligible for sharing appear, and availability through the connected services also matters.
The participating studios listed in the same terms are The Walt Disney Studios (including Twentieth Century Film), Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. Entertainment, and Lions Gate Entertainment. Studio participation does not mean every film from a studio—or every historic UltraViolet entitlement—is eligible to sync.

If a movie does not appear
- Confirm that the movie is still present in the retailer account you connected.
- Check whether that specific title is eligible for Movies Anywhere sharing.
- If both seem true and the movie is still missing, contact the retailer or Movies Anywhere support. The official pages do not promise a recovery process for missing legacy entitlements.
Movies Anywhere’s Terms of Use caution that not every movie in a connected retailer’s locker is eligible for sharing. A retailer connection therefore cannot restore a title that is absent from the retailer library or make an ineligible title sync.

If you have an unused code from an original Blu-ray or DVD combo package, you may be able to redeem it as a new entitlement for that movie. This is not a way to reconnect or transfer an UltraViolet library.

- Check that the packaged-media code is valid, unused, and unexpired.
- Redeem an eligible code on the Movies Anywhere redeem page or in the app’s Redeem section. Movies Anywhere’s terms limit combo-pack codes to the person who obtained the original package or a family member.
Warner Bros. Digital Support says unexpired packaged-media codes can still be redeemed through retailers. The retailer and the particular code determine where redemption is available.
