To add Peacock to Spectrum, sign in to Spectrum.net or the My Spectrum app and open Manage TV/Streaming. If Peacock is available for your account, select the offer and complete the activation prompts. Then install the Peacock app on a supported TV, streaming device, phone, tablet, or computer and sign in.
Peacock is generally watched through its own app—not as a normal channel in the Spectrum guide or through the Spectrum TV app. If Peacock does not appear in your Spectrum account, you can confirm eligibility with Spectrum or subscribe directly at PeacockTV.com.
First, check whether Peacock is included with your Spectrum account
Peacock is not automatically included with every Spectrum TV or Internet subscription. Availability can depend on your Spectrum package, service address, promotion, and account status. Even having a Spectrum Xumo Stream Box does not by itself mean that Peacock is free.
- Go to Spectrum.net or open the My Spectrum app.
- Sign in with the primary Spectrum username associated with your service.
- Open Manage TV/Streaming. Depending on the interface, the route may appear as Services → TV/Streaming.
- Look for a Peacock offer or streaming-services section.
If Peacock appears, use the displayed Add, Activate, or Link button. Spectrum’s account labels can change, so look for the TV and streaming-service management area rather than relying on one exact menu name. Spectrum’s support community identifies Manage TV/Streaming as the account location for eligible customers.

Activate Peacock through Spectrum
- Select the Peacock offer in your Spectrum account.
- Choose Add, Activate, Link, or the equivalent option shown.
- Follow the handoff to Peacock.
- Sign in to an existing Peacock account, if the offer supports linking it, or create a Peacock account when prompted.
- Install the Peacock app on your viewing device.
- Open Peacock, choose Sign In, and complete the linked-account or activation-code process.
Do not create a second Peacock account unless the activation page specifically requires it. If you already pay Peacock directly, try using the same email address and confirm how the Spectrum offer affects billing before canceling anything. Linking and billing-transfer rules can vary by offer.
Install Peacock on your TV or streaming device
Smart TV
Open your TV’s app store or app screen and search for Peacock. Download and open the app, then choose Sign In. Some devices also show Pick a Plan for users who do not yet have a subscription. Peacock’s smart-TV instructions provide the current device-specific guidance.
Spectrum Xumo Stream Box
On a Spectrum Xumo Stream Box:
- Open the Xumo home screen or app list.
- Find Peacock, or use device search if it is not immediately visible.
- Install or launch the app.
- Sign in with the Peacock account activated through Spectrum or subscribed to directly.
- Enter the on-screen activation code if Peacock displays one.
Peacock’s compatibility list specifically includes the Spectrum Xumo Stream Box. That confirms device support, not free Peacock eligibility. Xumo is the hardware and platform; your Spectrum account or Peacock subscription determines access.

You can also use Peacock on supported Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV and Android TV devices, LG and Samsung smart TVs, Vizio SmartCast TVs, Hisense VIDAA TVs, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles, iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, and desktop browsers. Compatibility is model- and software-dependent, so check Peacock’s live supported-devices list before replacing a device.

Peacock support does not apply to every Roku, smart-TV, or Xumo product. An older Spectrum cable box should not be assumed to support Peacock installation.

Use the Peacock activation code
For many TVs, streaming devices, and game consoles, activation works through a code:
- Open Peacock and select Sign In.
- Wait for the TV to display an activation code.
- On a phone, tablet, or computer, open Peacock’s official activation page.
- Sign in to the Peacock account connected to your Spectrum offer or direct subscription.
- Enter the code shown on the TV.
- Return to the Peacock app and wait for it to finish signing in.
If the code fails, enter it exactly as displayed, make sure the browser is signed in to the intended account, and generate a fresh code. Peacock identifies expired or incorrect codes and connectivity problems as common causes of failure.

Separate the problem into eligibility, account linking, and device sign-in. Start with this checklist:
- Confirm you are signed in as the primary Spectrum account holder.
- Check both Spectrum.net and the My Spectrum app.
- Look under Manage TV/Streaming and Services → TV/Streaming.
- Check whether the offer has an expiration date or requires acceptance.
- Sign out of Spectrum and sign back in.
- Try a desktop browser if the mobile app does not show the offer.
- Try a private browser window or temporarily disable extensions if the account page will not load correctly.
- Ask Spectrum support whether Peacock is available for your specific account and whether activation needs to be reset.
If Spectrum confirms that no offer is available, use Peacock’s direct signup instructions at PeacockTV.com. This is independent of Spectrum and may not include a Spectrum-specific promotion.
Fix common activation and playback problems
“This Peacock account is already linked”
This can happen when Peacock was previously activated with another email address, a household member redeemed the offer, or an old promotion remains attached to an account. Sign out of Peacock on your devices, identify the email currently associated with Peacock, and try password recovery on likely addresses. Re-enter the Spectrum activation flow with the correct Spectrum and Peacock accounts. Avoid repeatedly creating new accounts; contact Peacock support if the account remains tied to a former provider relationship.

The activation code does not work
Generate a new code from the Peacock app, use the official activation page, check the device’s Internet connection, and restart the app if the code screen is frozen. Old codes may expire.
The Peacock app is unavailable
The device may be unsupported, running an outdated operating system, set to an unsupported app-store region, short on storage, or experiencing a temporary app-store problem. Update the device and check Peacock’s compatibility list. If necessary, use a supported Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV device, game console, phone, tablet, browser, or Spectrum Xumo Stream Box.
Peacock opens but playback fails
Playback trouble is usually different from Spectrum authentication trouble. If you can sign in but cannot play video, close Peacock and other background apps, relaunch it, and restart the device. Peacock recommends powering the device down or unplugging it for about 20 seconds before reconnecting it. Also check the Internet connection, clear the app cache and data where available, and reinstall Peacock if necessary. See Peacock’s device troubleshooting guidance.

Can I add Peacock to an old Spectrum cable box?
Do not assume so. Use a supported smart TV, streaming device, game console, browser, or Spectrum Xumo Stream Box instead.
Can I cancel Peacock after activating it through Spectrum?
Check which company is billing the subscription and whether the Spectrum offer has conditions before canceling. Confirm the result in both Spectrum and Peacock account pages.
