To add OneRepublic’s Oh My My without creating an unwanted second copy, open the album page in Apple Music, identify the edition by its release date, track count and version-specific songs, then add only the edition you want. Do not add individual tracks from several search results. Apple Music’s US catalog currently shows 11-track, 16-track and 22-track listings, so a different count is not automatically a duplicate.
Why “Oh My My” can appear more than once
Streaming services do not always present one universal album record. Labels can deliver standard albums, deluxe editions, reissues, regional records and revised metadata as separate catalog entries. Those records may share the same cover and title while differing in date, length or sequence.
That is the situation with Oh My My. Apple Music’s US catalog has multiple entries, and Spotify presents another catalog view. The entries cannot be treated as interchangeable simply because they have the same album name. A listener might want the original 16-song sequence, the shorter Apple Music listing or the newer 22-song deluxe entry.
The safest rule is to compare the album-level metadata before pressing Add. A track-count mismatch is a reason to investigate, not proof that one listing is an accidental duplicate.

The 22-track Apple Music page is dated October 7, 2026. The available catalog pages do not establish whether it is a reissue, replacement or another release-history treatment, nor how it will interact with an older subscriber library. Treat it as a distinct displayed edition until your own library shows otherwise.
What you need before starting
You need access to the Apple Music catalog and an Apple Music app on a supported device. Apple Support explains that subscribers can add music from the Apple Music catalog to their music library. Adding an item and downloading its audio are separate controls, so you do not need free storage merely to place the catalog album in your library.
Have the existing Oh My My entry open before adding another one. Note its edition name, displayed date, song count and final few tracks. If you use Sync Library, remember that library changes can appear on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. That makes an edition check especially important before deleting anything.
For a comparison that is meaningful, stay within the same service and region. The US Apple Music pages, Spotify’s page and the official store pages already show different counts and dates. A friend’s account or a web result from another country may therefore display a legitimate variation rather than a duplicate.
Check the edition before you add it
Use the album page, not a single-song result, for the comparison. Search for OneRepublic Oh My My, open each plausible album entry and record the following details.
- Edition label: note whether the page says Oh My My or Oh My My (Deluxe Edition).
- Displayed date: December 2, 2016 and October 7, 2016 identify different catalog presentations; the 22-track page displays October 7, 2026.

Artwork is a weak identifier because several editions can reuse the same cover. Parenthetical labels in song titles are stronger clues: a remix, string version or deluxe-version marker tells you that the recording or presentation differs. The date is also useful, but it should be read alongside the count and song names rather than used alone.

Add the chosen album in Apple Music
iPhone, iPad, Apple Vision Pro or Android
- Open the Apple Music app and search for OneRepublic Oh My My.
- Tap the album title or artwork to open the full album page. Avoid using the Add control beside an isolated search-result song.
- Compare the edition name, date, track count and distinguishing tracks with your chosen version.
- Tap the album’s Add button at the top of the album page.
- Wait for the library confirmation, then open Library and search for Oh My My to verify that the intended album appears.
Apple’s labels and control placement can change with app updates. The essential action is adding from the album page after confirming the edition, not downloading every result that looks similar.
Mac or PC
- Open Apple Music on a Mac or the Apple Music app on a Windows PC.
- Search for OneRepublic’s Oh My My and open the complete album page.
- Compare the album label, date, song count, duration and version-specific tracks.
- Click Add at the top of the album page.
- Open your library and inspect the album entry. If more than one edition is intentional, keep their edition labels and track lists visible so you can tell them apart.
Adding catalog music to the library and downloading it for offline listening are separate actions. You can add the album without storing audio files on the device.
Adding is not the same as downloading
Choose a download only when you need offline playback or want the audio stored locally. A library addition by itself does not require a download. This distinction matters when a suspected duplicate is actually two catalog editions: you can keep the library reference to one edition while downloading neither, one or both according to your travel and storage needs.
If storage is the concern, use Remove Download on the album or tracks. Apple says this removes the local copy while leaving Apple Music catalog music in your library for streaming. You can download it again later if the catalog item remains available.
Delete from Library is different. It removes the library item. With Sync Library enabled, that deletion can propagate to your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Check which edition you are acting on before confirming.
Do not use Delete from Library as a first response to a storage warning. Removing a download addresses local space while preserving the catalog reference. Deleting addresses the library record itself and may require you to search for and add the album again later.
Find duplicate tracks on a Mac
Apple’s duplicate-finding controls described here are for Music on Mac. They are not a universal menu available in the same form on iPhone, Android, Spotify or every other music application.
- Open Music on your Mac.
- Choose File > Library > Show Duplicate Items.
- Review the results using the song, artist, album and version columns.
- For exact duplicates only, hold the Option key while choosing the command. Music defines an exact duplicate as matching song, artist, album and version.
- Open the surrounding album context before deleting anything. The same recording can legitimately appear on an album and on a soundtrack, compilation or deluxe edition.
- Keep the copy whose album, edition and version you intend to preserve, then remove the unwanted library item or download.
A duplicate-results screen is a review list, not an automatic cleanup command. A repeated song title may represent different mixes, a remix, a soundtrack placement or a deliberately retained edition.

For example, a song from Oh My My may also be present in another album or soundtrack. Music’s exact-duplicate view is narrower because it checks song, artist, album and version together. Even an exact match deserves a quick context check if you intentionally keep multiple album editions.
How to decide which version belongs in your library
You want the 2016 16-track sequence
Look for the 16-song deluxe presentation dated October 7, 2016 on Apple Music, or the 16-song album shown by Spotify. The official CD and two-disc white vinyl pages also list 16 tracks, with “Heaven” as track 16. Those physical products document the sequence but do not add a digital album to a streaming library.
You want the shorter Apple Music listing
Select the standard-titled 11-song Apple Music US page dated December 2, 2016. Its displayed duration is 42 minutes. Confirm that the track list matches the shorter sequence before adding it.
You want the newly dated 22-track deluxe listing
Select the Apple Music US deluxe page dated October 7, 2026 and verify its 22-song count. The listed bonus or version-marked titles include “The Less I Know,” “Better (String Version),” “Kids (SeeB Remix)” and “Let’s Hurt Tonight (BUNT. Remix).” Because the catalog pages do not explain its release history or library behavior, retain the page’s edition and date as your identifying information.

You are unsure
Do not add a second listing yet. Compare the final several tracks and any parenthetical version names with the existing entry, then decide whether the difference is intentional. If the app displays identical metadata but creates two entries, use the Mac duplicate review described above and check Sync Library before deleting.
Troubleshooting common outcomes
The album appears twice after adding
First compare the two entries’ dates, counts and version titles. One may be the 11-track standard listing and the other a 16- or 22-track deluxe edition. Keep both only if you want both sequences. Otherwise, remove the unwanted library item after confirming the deletion consequences for synced devices.
Only individual songs were added
Search again, open the album page and use its top-level Add button. Adding tracks one by one can scatter songs across library views and makes it harder to identify the intended album edition.
The album is in the library but not available offline
That is expected when you have added but not downloaded it. Use the album’s download control only if offline playback is required and your device has enough storage.

Removing a download removed the album listing
Check which command you selected. Remove Download should leave the catalog item in the library; Delete from Library removes the item, and Sync Library can carry that deletion to other devices.
The track count differs from a friend’s account
Compare country or region, service, edition label and date before concluding that one account has a duplicate. The documented Apple Music US, Spotify and physical listings already differ, and catalog presentation can change over time.
The 2026 listing has appeared unexpectedly
Record its displayed date, 22-song count and version-specific titles before changing anything. The catalog pages do not explain whether this entry is a reissue, a replacement or another release-history treatment, so do not promise that it will merge with an older 2016 entry.

The official OneRepublic store lists a CD and a two-disc white vinyl edition, each with 16 tracks and “Heaven” as track 16. They are physical formats for people who want a disc or record; buying one does not add the streaming album to Apple Music or Spotify and is not required for a clean digital library.
