Find the playlist, open its menu, choose Edit on YouTube, then use More → Add videos to select the video. That updates the playlist; it does not guarantee that a 24/7 stream already running from another service will load the new item. Check the queue or preview in the software that runs your stream.
Add an existing video from YouTube Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio on a computer.
- Open Content → Playlists.
- Find the playlist you want to change, open its menu, and select Edit on YouTube.
- In the playlist editor, choose More → Add videos.
- Find the video using search, paste a video URL, or select it from your library, then add it to the playlist.
This route is useful when you are already managing the destination playlist. YouTube describes a playlist as a collection of videos; adding an item changes playlist membership, not necessarily the source currently being read by a live-streaming tool.
Choose the method that fits what you are doing

YouTube documents the watch-page method under saving videos to playlists and the upload option in its video upload instructions.
Check the order or remove an item
After adding the video, inspect its position in the playlist. In the computer playlist editor, drag a video or Short up or down to change its order. To remove an item, open its menu and choose Remove from [PLAYLIST NAME]. See YouTube’s playlist editing guidance for these controls.

If these options are missing, account type or changes to YouTube’s interface may be the reason. YouTube notes that playlist editing may not be available for supervised accounts; confirm the current controls in your account.
Will the running 24/7 stream play the new video?
Not necessarily. YouTube’s playlist controls describe adding, removing, and reordering playlist items. Its live-streaming guidance describes stream setup and the Live Control Room, but does not promise that a continuous stream—especially one operated by third-party software—will reload an edited playlist or pick up a new item immediately.

- Identify how the stream is actually produced: from a YouTube playlist, a third-party encoder or service, scheduled playback, or another queue.
- After changing the playlist, check the queue or preview in that specific setup.
- If the item is not there, use that operator’s documented refresh or queue-update process. Do not assume a universal refresh interval or that restarting is always required.
YouTube says live-stream archives are uploaded to a channel by default and suggests organizing archives and highlight clips in playlists. That is useful for organizing live content, but an archive playlist is not thereby established as a 24/7 playback queue.
