Cristiano Ronaldo’s YouTube channel, UR Cristiano, reached 10 million subscribers just over 12 hours after its public launch on 21 August 2024, according to contemporary reporting by Yahoo Sports. Guinness World Records later reported a separate, officially verified milestone: YouTube counted 19,729,827 subscribers gained by the channel in its first 24 hours.
How long did Ronaldo take to reach 10 million subscribers?
Yahoo Sports reported on 22 August 2024 that UR Cristiano reached 10 million subscribers just over 12 hours after launch. The comparison was with the time MrBeast had previously taken to reach that same 10-million threshold—not with MrBeast’s total channel audience.
The exact 10-million timing is a contemporary media report. Guinness World Records’ separately published 24-hour figure is based on a count YouTube supplied to the organization.
What YouTube record did Ronaldo set?
Guinness World Records reported that YouTube’s official count showed UR Cristiano gained 19,729,827 subscribers in 24 hours. Guinness awarded Ronaldo the record for the most YouTube subscribers gained in 24 hours. Its 27 August 2024 report also quoted Pedro Pina, YouTube’s vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, describing the partnership with Ronaldo as “a labour of love and dedication.”

Did Ronaldo surpass MrBeast in total YouTube subscribers?
No. The launch-speed comparison was about reaching 10 million subscribers, not overtaking MrBeast’s overall channel total. Guinness World Records’ overall most-subscribed YouTube channel listing named MrBeast, with 449 million subscribers as of 31 October 2025. That dated total is a separate category from Ronaldo’s 2024 launch records.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the 24-hour record still current?
Ronaldo’s 19,729,827-subscriber figure is a historical achievement for the 24 hours after his channel launched in August 2024. Guinness notes that records can change daily and may not appear online immediately, so the 2024 award should not be treated as confirmation of the record holder today without checking the current record listing.
