No verifiable public figure has been reported for Charlie Sheen’s payment for The Book of Sheen: A Memoir. Simon & Schuster’s official announcement and book listing confirm the memoir and its publication details, but do not disclose an advance, royalty terms or total compensation.
What is known about the book
The Book of Sheen: A Memoir is Charlie Sheen’s memoir. Simon & Schuster announced that its Gallery Books imprint would publish it on September 9, 2025. The publisher lists hardcover, ebook and audiobook editions.
The publisher’s product page gives the hardcover a $35 list price. That is the book’s retail list price, not a figure for Sheen’s advance, fee or royalties. No author-payment amount can be calculated from the cover price, and bestseller status or assumed sales would not establish his earnings.
Why there is no confirmed payment figure
The publisher’s announcement and product information do not disclose financial terms. The Associated Press reported on September 9, 2025, the book’s release date, that Sheen discussed the writing process at an event with David Duchovny at 92nd Street Y; its report did not state a deal amount.

Those sources do not establish whether Sheen received an advance, how royalties are structured, or how much he has earned. The absence of published terms is not proof that he received no advance.

If a credible report later gives an amount, its terms matter: an advance is not the same as royalties or total earnings, and a contractual gross figure is not necessarily the amount ultimately paid. A useful report would also identify the date and territory covered. Until such terms are reported, there is no substantiated dollar amount to compare with the $35 retail list price.
