Grace Springer said she made no money from the viral Coldplay concert clip itself or its views, and that the video was not monetized. A separate report later described slightly more than $1 in earnings shown in a screenshot of her account, but did not establish that the amount came from the clip.
What did Grace Springer say the video earned?
In a July 21, 2025 interview on the U.K. program This Morning, Springer said: “I’ve actually made no money from the video itself or the views. It’s not monetized.” Us Weekly reported her statement.
That is the clearest direct answer about revenue from the video: Springer said it had earned her nothing. The available reporting does not establish a current cumulative total attributable solely to the clip.
What was the reported $1 account figure?
In an August 9, 2025 feature, EL PAÍS described a screenshot Springer shared that showed slightly more than $1 in account earnings as of July 19, 2025. That is an account-level figure, not a verified payment from the viral clip alone. It also predates her July 21 interview, so it should not be treated as a contradiction of her statement about the clip’s earnings. EL PAÍS reported the screenshot and its date.

How many views did the clip get?
EL PAÍS reported nearly 130 million views on Springer’s pinned TikTok post when the feature was published on August 9, 2025. That is a dated snapshot, not a current view count, and views do not establish how much money a creator received.
The same feature included hypothetical monetization estimates from a marketing professional and historical discussion of platform eligibility. Those estimates were not Springer’s actual earnings. The reporting does not establish a clip-specific payout from them.

What was in the Coldplay video?
Springer filmed the moment during Coldplay’s July 16, 2025 concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. A jumbotron segment showed two concertgoers reacting to appearing on the screen. Chris Martin joked that they might be having an affair or might simply be shy; that remark was a joke, not evidence of a relationship. Astronomer later confirmed the people shown were CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot, according to the Associated Press.
Springer told This Morning she had her phone out because she hoped to see herself on the big screen and liked capturing moments. She said she did not think much of the moment while filming and that people in the crowd discussed it afterward. Those are her recollections as reported by Us Weekly.

What happened at Astronomer afterward?
The Associated Press reported that Astronomer placed Byron on leave and opened a formal investigation before announcing his resignation. The company named cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy interim CEO while it sought a successor. These reported company actions do not establish that Springer’s post alone caused the resignation, and the clip does not prove the private relationship suggested in online speculation.
