Drake reportedly wagered about US$124.5 million and lost about US$8.2 million over the month before June 18, 2025. Those figures came from an Instagram Story screenshot he shared, as reported by several news outlets; they have not been established as independently audited records of his personal finances.

What did Drake’s Instagram Story show?

On June 18, 2025, Drake shared an Instagram Story about sports betting. E! News reported the screenshot’s precise figures as $124,527,265 wagered and $8,235,686 lost over the prior month. Billboard Canada and a Tribune News Service report published by the Jefferson City News Tribune described the totals as nearly $125 million wagered and roughly $8.2 million lost. E! News, Billboard Canada, and the Jefferson City News Tribune reported on the post.

Drake’s caption began, “Gotta share the other side of gambling…” Billboard Canada reproduced the rest of the caption: “Losses are so fried right now I hope I can post a big win for you all soon cause I’m the only one that has never seen a max these guys max once a week.” The outlet described the activity as sports betting and said Drake tagged Stake, which it identified as an endorsement partner.

How certain are the reported totals?

The figures should be understood as amounts displayed in a social-media screenshot and relayed by news outlets—not as a verified account statement. The cited reporting does not establish an independent audit, whether the displayed balance represented Drake’s personal cash, or the full financial arrangements behind the activity.

There is also a conflicting report: PerthNow published totals of $192 million wagered and $12 million lost. That account differs substantially from the figures reported by Billboard Canada, E! News, the Jefferson City News Tribune, and The Guardian, which align around $124.5 million wagered and $8.2 million lost. The better-corroborated figures are therefore the more responsible answer, with the discrepancy attributed rather than blended into them. PerthNow published the higher totals.

Was this the same as Drake’s NBA Finals bet?

No. Billboard Canada separately reported an $800,000 wager on Game 6 of the 2025 NBA Finals: $600,000 on an Oklahoma City Thunder win and $200,000 on the Thunder winning by 6–10 points. The Indiana Pacers won 108–91, according to the Jefferson City News Tribune. That single-game wager is distinct from the month-long totals shown in the Instagram Story; the reports do not establish that it accounts for any particular portion of the reported monthly loss. Billboard Canada’s report covers the Finals bet.

What the numbers do—and do not—tell us

  • They describe reported wagers and losses over a month, not Drake’s net worth or the amount of money he had available overall.
  • The reports do not identify which specific bets produced the monthly result.
  • The screenshot and reports do not establish the source of the funds or whether every displayed amount was personally funded by Drake.

For context on Stake, The Guardian reported in January 2026 that Drake had promoted the platform on Instagram and Kick since 2022. Its account also discusses allegations in a civil case involving Stake and Drake, alongside Stake’s denial; those allegations are separate from the screenshot and are not proof of the reported gambling totals. The Guardian’s report covers that broader context.
