MeetMe streamers can earn cash rewards when viewers send digital gifts, but the process is conditional: gifts may generate Diamonds, and Diamonds may be redeemable at rates and thresholds set by MeetMe. The platform does not publish a dependable earnings average or a stable public payout rate in the cited guidance, so streaming should not be treated as predictable income.
How MeetMe streamers earn money
MeetMe’s Live monetization starts with viewer gifts. Viewers use Credits for gifts; a streamer who receives a gift may receive a specified number of Diamonds. As MeetMe’s Live Terms of Service explain, “Each Streamer who receives digital gifts from another User on Live may receive a specified number of Diamonds as determined by us.”
These are separate values, not a guaranteed one-to-one conversion. Credits are limited virtual currency for digital gifts and cannot themselves be converted to cash or redeemed for real-world goods or services under the Terms. The cost of a gift also need not correspond to the Diamonds or cash reward the streamer receives. A gift’s purchase cost, the streamer’s Diamond balance, and any eventual cash reward should not be treated as interchangeable amounts.
How do I convert Diamonds to cash rewards?
MeetMe’s support instructions describe the cash reward option in Streamer Tools. The exact display can change, so follow the labels shown in your current account.

- Open the Live screen and tap the wrench or Streamer Tools menu.
- Choose Diamonds.
- Select Claim Cash Reward and follow the displayed verification and payment steps.
MeetMe may require identity verification before processing a claim. Its Terms also allow it to require government or tax forms, set a minimum number of Diamonds per request, limit cash-outs to one per day, and apply third-party vendor eligibility rules or transaction fees. MeetMe reserves the ability to set and change redemption rates, minimum increments, and redemption frequency. The support guidance cited here does not state a current numeric exchange rate or minimum threshold. Check the amounts, eligibility conditions, and fees displayed in the app before estimating what a balance could pay.
Cash rewards are not necessarily net income. MeetMe says streamers are responsible for applicable taxes, and MeetMe or its payment vendors may report payments to tax authorities. For tax treatment, consult a qualified tax professional familiar with your circumstances.

Are MeetMe streaming earnings predictable?
No reliable earnings average is established in the official materials cited here. The number of gifts, Diamonds awarded, and cash redemption terms can vary; the Terms give MeetMe discretion over key redemption conditions. Do not use viewer spending or a displayed gift cost as a forecast of cash income, and do not count unredeemed Diamonds as guaranteed money. Account deletion, blocking, or termination can result in Credits or Diamonds being forfeited, and MeetMe says redemption rights may change or end.
What streamer levels, subscriptions and boosts do
Levels and subscriptions
MeetMe says streamers earn levels through streaming and receiving viewer gifts. Levels can unlock features such as gestures, masks, backgrounds, Diamond-to-Point conversion bonuses, and access to subscriptions. Subscription setup is available only after the account reaches the required level and accepts the Subscription Terms; the support page does not state the qualifying level or the streamer’s revenue share. Once eligible, a streamer can configure a welcome message. These features can support a channel, but they do not establish a guaranteed income.

SP, boosts and Spotlight
SP is streamer experience used toward levels. It can come from streaming, viewer gifts, or SP items. Boost items earned through challenges can increase experience earned during their active period; only one percentage boost can be active at a time. Spotlight items add points that affect a streamer’s placement in the Live Spotlight list while they are actively streaming. These are progression and discovery mechanics, not cash rewards or a promise of more viewers.
Wheel gifts and challenge requirements
MeetMe says wheel gifts may yield Diamonds equal to or greater than the Credits used, and directs users to each gift’s information for possible outcomes and odds. Results are variable, so a wheel is not a reliable earnings strategy. Challenge rules also matter: a required gift may need to be sent during a live stream, and gifts sent through wheels or private messages may not count unless the challenge specifically says they do.
