Does Original Sin count as a third spin-off?
It can be included in a broad count of related Pretty Little Liars television series, but it is more precise to describe it as a later same-universe series rather than one of the two conventional direct spin-offs. Warner Bros. Discovery described Original Sin as taking place “within the existing Pretty Little Liars universe” and following “a new generation of Little Liars.” The series was later retitled Summer School. That distinction explains why lists sometimes give different totals: they may count every series set in the franchise universe, rather than only shows identified as direct spin-offs.
