As checked against the latest available U.S. catalog snapshot on August 16, 2026, Netflix lists approximately 928 episode entries for the 1999 One Piece anime. That is not a complete, uninterrupted run of the series. Netflix’s country-specific licensing, profile-language filters and package-style season labels mean the total can change, and a high entry count does not prove that episodes 1 through 928 are all available consecutively.
If you want every current anime episode, Netflix is only a partial option. Crunchyroll is the most practical U.S. service to check when you reach a gap.

Which One Piece is on Netflix?
The 1999 anime
The count in this guide concerns the long-running Japanese anime based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga. Netflix identifies it as an anime series on its official title page. Films, recap specials and promotional videos are separate items and are not included in an episode total.
The live-action series
Netflix’s live-action adaptation is a different program. Season 1 has eight episodes, and Season 2, titled ONE PIECE: Into the Grand Line, has eight more, for 16 live-action episodes currently available. Those episodes must not be added to the anime count; Netflix documents the season totals in its Tudum announcement.

How many anime episodes are on Netflix U.S.?
The latest U.S. catalog snapshot lists 37 Netflix season groupings whose episode entries add up to 928. This is a third-party catalog-entry count, not a permanent number published by Netflix. Netflix’s public page can hide episode details behind sign-in, region detection or profile settings, so treat 928 as an approximate, date-stamped figure.
A more conservative release record confirms that Netflix U.S. added episodes 850–877 on June 1, 2026. Later catalog data shows additional packages, including groups of 34, 33 and 10 entries, but it does not provide an authoritative episode-number map for every package. The U.S. season and entry breakdown is documented by New on Netflix, while the June batch was reported by What’s on Netflix.
Does Netflix have every One Piece episode?
No, not in the United States. Netflix licenses selected blocks rather than the entire ongoing anime. You can therefore see newer material while an intervening block is absent. The 928 figure means listed entries, not a guaranteed continuous sequence from episode 1.
Netflix explains that missing seasons or episodes can result from licensing rights, staggered releases, split seasons and differences in original broadcast timing. Its guidance is available at Netflix Help. Catalogs also differ by country, and Netflix says profile language can affect which titles and versions appear; see its country and language help page.

What do Netflix’s strange season numbers mean?
Netflix’s “season” labels are practical catalog packages, not the anime’s official production seasons or a dependable arc index. A package may contain a licensed batch, and numbering can appear to skip labels. That is why a season number alone cannot tell you which official episode range is present.
| Netflix grouping or release | Entries or documented range | What can safely be concluded |
|---|---|---|
| Season 1 | 61 entries in the U.S. tracker | Verify the displayed episode numbers in your app |
| Season 33 | 14 entries | Earlier catalog reporting associated this package with episodes 850–863; confirm in Netflix |
| Season 34 | 14 entries | Earlier catalog reporting associated this package with episodes 864–877; confirm in Netflix |
| Later packages | 34, 33 and 10 entries are listed | No reliable official episode range is supplied; do not infer one from the package size |
The tracker’s list also contains gaps in the visible season numbering. Those gaps reinforce that Netflix labels are licensing conventions, not proof of missing or present official production seasons.
How to check your own Netflix catalog
Because availability changes, use the app or website in the country where you watch rather than relying on a global number.
- Open Netflix from your normal U.S. connection and search for One Piece, not the live-action title.
- Open the anime and select Episodes & More.
- Record every season label and the number of entries shown under each one.
- Open the final entry in each package and note its official episode number.
- Check whether the official numbers are continuous or whether a block is missing.
- If the title or a season is absent, switch to an adult English-language profile and check that you are not using a Kids profile.
- Write down the country and date checked. If the browser and app disagree, report both results instead of averaging them.
Where should you watch after a Netflix gap?
Crunchyroll
Crunchyroll is the strongest U.S. alternative for viewers seeking the broadest current anime coverage and ongoing releases. JustWatch’s U.S. listing identifies Crunchyroll and Crunchyroll Amazon Channel as available options; check the service page for current plan and episode details.

Hulu
Hulu is another listed U.S. option and may suit an existing subscriber. Its exact seasons, subtitles, dubs and episode range can change, so verify the episode number you need before switching.
One Pace
One Pace is a free, unofficial fan edit that condenses selected portions of the anime. It is not an official distributor, does not provide guaranteed complete coverage and may not offer every arc or episode.
Physical media
DVD and Blu-ray releases can help collectors own particular arcs, but buying enough discs for a series this large is usually less convenient than using a current streaming service.
How many One Piece episodes exist overall?
The anime’s total is much higher than Netflix’s U.S. count and continues to grow. A current catalog listing records episodes through at least 1,181, with the latest listed episode airing August 9, 2026; another U.S. guide lists through 1,174. These differences show why an overall total must be date-stamped. The safe takeaway is that One Piece has well over 1,100 anime episodes, while Netflix U.S. carries only part of them. See JustWatch’s U.S. listing for a current cross-service snapshot.

Why your number may differ
- Your country has a different licensing agreement.
- Netflix has added or removed a batch since the August 16, 2026 check.
- Your profile language filters available titles or audio versions.
- A tracker counts catalog entries differently from the Netflix app.
- You are counting films, specials or the live-action series along with regular anime episodes.
- Netflix’s package labels make a nonconsecutive catalog look like a complete run.
Bottom line for U.S. viewers
Netflix U.S. has approximately 928 listed One Piece anime entries as of the cited August 16, 2026 snapshot, but it does not have the complete series in an assured uninterrupted order. Confirm the last official episode number visible in your account, then use Crunchyroll first—or check Hulu if you already subscribe—when Netflix skips the next block.

Best Value
Why am I missing a One Piece season or episode?
Check your country, profile language, Kids-profile restrictions and the anime title itself. Licensing and staggered releases can also leave blocks unavailable.
Are the live-action episodes included in the anime total?
No. The live-action series is separate: eight episodes in Season 1 and eight in Season 2.
Where should I continue after Netflix?
Check Crunchyroll first for the broadest U.S. anime coverage, then verify Hulu if you already use that service.
