The finished Vintage Collection toy was a nearly four-foot-long, almost 14-pound collectible designed for 3.75-inch action figures—an unusually ambitious Star Wars vehicle for Hasbro at the time.
How much did the Jabba’s Sail Barge campaign raise?
GeekWire reported that the 2018 campaign raised $3.85 million. That figure is from GeekWire’s contemporaneous reporting; Hasbro’s first-quarter 2018 filing confirms the campaign launched as the first HasLab project, but does not give the final dollar total.
HasLab was the route for this limited campaign product, rather than a conventional mass-market release. StarWars.com described the original offer as a $499.99 backer-only vehicle that would proceed if it reached 5,000 preorders by April 3, 2018. Those were the campaign’s historical terms, not a current offer or price.
What did backers receive?
The resulting item was officially identified in Hasbro’s instructions as The Vintage Collection Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna). StarWars.com reported in February 2019 that nearly 9,000 backers were preparing to receive it.

Why was it such a big deal for Star Wars toys?
Hasbro’s first-quarter 2018 filing called the barge its largest Star Wars vehicle to that point and identified it as the first HasLab project. The campaign format allowed Hasbro to offer an exceptionally large, specialized collectible based on a minimum number of preorders, rather than treating it like an ordinary retail vehicle.

Its scale was substantial even before considering the sail: the delivered toy measured more than four feet long and weighed nearly 14 pounds.
