The report behind this headline says Demi Lovato’s team regained control of her Snapchat account and removed posts placed there by hackers. Discord also reportedly shut down a related server after being notified. Those steps removed material from those accounts; they do not establish that every copy disappeared from the internet.
What happened in the 2019 Snapchat incident?
Yahoo Entertainment reported on October 21, 2019, that a hacking group had taken over Lovato’s Snapchat account. Posts appearing on the account directed users to join a Discord channel. Yahoo Entertainment’s report is the account supporting the details available here; no platform statement independently corroborating them is established.

What actions reportedly made the posts disappear?
Yahoo said Lovato’s team regained access to the Snapchat account and removed the material posted there. The report also said Discord shut down the related server after being made aware of the incident. These are reported removals from the account and server—not proof of a complete internet-wide deletion or of what happened to any copies elsewhere.
Was this the same as the 2017 photo-leak story?
No. The headline most plausibly refers to the 2019 Snapchat account takeover, while a separate March 2017 story concerned reports of leaked photos. In coverage published March 22, 2017, TheWrap reproduced a tweet in which Lovato said: “I love how everyone’s freaking out about one picture. It’s not nude and it’s just cleavage.” She also referred to her 2015 Vanity Fair photo shoot. That response belongs to the 2017 episode, not the 2019 account takeover. TheWrap’s 2017 coverage.
