Lisa Rinna has said she got a silicone injection in her lips at age 24. Bravo later reported that the permanent material damaged tissue and that she had reconstructive lip surgery in 2010. That history—not a diagnosis based on how she looks today—is the clearest documented explanation for why her lips became so closely associated with her public image.
What Lisa Rinna has said about her lips
In an interview with The Standard, Rinna said she received a silicone filler injection in her lips when she was 24. She likened the decision to getting a tattoo and called it “an absolutely stupid spur of the moment thing with my girlfriend.”
That account gives a specific origin for the lip procedure she has discussed publicly. It does not establish what her lips look like internally now, or whether she currently has filler.
What happened after the silicone injection
Bravo reported that the permanent silicone caused side effects and tissue damage. The outlet says Rinna underwent reconstructive lip surgery with Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Garth Fisher in 2010 to remove the filler. Reflecting on the decision, Rinna said, “I was crazy to even touch them in the first place.”

That is the reported corrective-treatment timeline. It should not be extended into claims about additional procedures or a specific medical condition that the reporting does not establish.
Why the 2024 Skinvive comments are different
In 2024, Rinna said, “Skinvive is not for everyone, and it was not good for me.” E! News described the comments as referring to a facial treatment. A later Bravo recap quoted her saying, “Luckily we could dissolve it today. Whew.” The available coverage does not say Skinvive was injected into her lips, so it is separate from the silicone lip history.

What can—and cannot—be concluded from her appearance
Rinna’s own account and the reported 2010 surgery explain the documented history. Photographs alone cannot establish her current lip anatomy, whether material remains, or whether she has had later treatment. No competing medical explanation is established by the cited reporting, and it would be speculation to diagnose migration or identify a current procedure from her appearance.

Rinna Beauty launched in 2020 with lip kits. Bravo described the launch kits as including lipstick, gloss and lip liner; NewBeauty also reported her discussing development of lip gloss, lipstick and lip pencil. Those historical accounts show how central lips were to the brand’s launch, but they do not establish current product availability.
