This is a historical release calendar, not a guide to what is on Netflix Canada today. Based on Canadian listings published in late April 2020, May’s biggest scheduled arrivals included Hollywood, Dead to Me season 2, The Eddy, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 5, The Lovebirds, The 100 season 7 and Space Force. Netflix could change dates or catalogue availability, so the schedule below reflects announcements available at the time.

- Sweet Magnolias (May 19): A relationship drama.

Beyond originals, the Canadian catalogue was scheduled to gain recognizable films such as Back to the Future, Bad Boys, Deadpool 2 and Gravity on May 1; The Big Lebowski and Love Actually on May 5; Iron Man 3 on May 7; This Is the End on May 16; Pacific Rim: Uprising on May 17; Shrek on May 19; Ne Zha on May 25; and High Strung Free Dance on May 31.

Blood & Water, Mystic Pop-Up Bar, Snowpiercer and Kenny Sebastian: The Most Interesting Person in the Room were listed as upcoming but had no firm Canadian date in the April schedules. In particular, Snowpiercer should not be confused with its separate U.S. TNT rollout. These titles belong in a date-TBA list, not in the dated calendar.

Reported departures
Canadian outlets reported the following departures, but lists and dates differed: The House Bunny (May 4), Erin Brockovich (May 5), Drop Dead Diva seasons 1–6 (May 23) and Center Stage (reported as May 30 or May 31). Treat these as last-chance reports rather than an exhaustive, permanent removal schedule; Netflix’s catalogue could change by region and by day.
