On a supported TV or streaming device, open an eligible program, press Down on the remote, choose Multiview, and select from the combinations YouTube TV offers. On iPhone or iPad, tap the video, choose the Multiview icon, and build the available layout. Native Multiview is not supported in a web browser or through AirPlay.
What Multiview actually does
Multiview is a single composite stream containing several live feeds, rather than four completely independent app windows. YouTube TV generates the available combinations, so the feature is customizable only within the choices currently shown in its builder. It is not a universal four-channel mixer.
You can select one tile for active audio and enlarge one feed to full screen. Because the feeds are combined, each may have its own broadcast delay.
Prebuilt layouts may appear on the Home page under Top Picks for You or Watch in multiview. These can be the quickest way to find a Sunday football slate. See YouTube TV’s current instructions at YouTube TV Help.

What subscription access do you need?

Plan names, channel lineups and add-ons can change by market and date. YouTube TV announced genre-specific plans for early 2026, but availability should be checked on the signup page before purchase: YouTube’s plan announcement.
Open Multiview on a smart TV or streaming device
- Open the YouTube TV app.
- Start an eligible live game, channel or featured Multiview stream.
- Press Down on the remote.
- Select the Multiview icon or option.
- Choose from the content shown in the builder. You can add only the streams offered there.
- Select a tile to make its audio active.
- To enlarge that feed, select the active-audio view and press the remote’s Select/OK button.
- Press Back to return to the composite layout. Press Back again to leave, or press Down, open Networks, and choose another network.
The Multiview control appears while watching eligible content; it will not be present on every channel.

Open Multiview on iPhone or iPad
- In the YouTube TV app, watch eligible Multiview content and tap the video.
- Tap the Multiview icon.
- Choose a content type from the bottom panel.
- Select the available programs to add.
- Tap a tile to change the active audio.
- Use the full-screen control to enlarge one feed.
- Tap the screen and use the Networks tab or Back control to exit.
Mobile Multiview is different from casting the phone screen. AirPlay does not provide native Multiview, so use the app directly on a supported device when possible.
NFL Sunday Ticket combinations and RedZone
Sunday Ticket Multiview can combine Sunday Ticket games with other NFL games that YouTube TV makes available. It cannot be treated as a free-form layout of any four YouTube TV channels. RedZone is also conditional: the help documentation says it appears only when the account has the relevant Sunday Ticket and NFL RedZone access and the offered combination supports it.

Sunday Ticket is primarily an out-of-market Sunday-afternoon package. Local games, nationally televised games, Thursday and primetime games, international contests and special-event or digital-only games can use different outlets. Confirm the purchase route and feature set if you bought Sunday Ticket through the regular YouTube app rather than YouTube TV; the products do not have identical platform support. Can you choose any four games?
No. The builder exposes only the combinations YouTube TV has made available for that event, device and subscription. For Sunday Ticket, the choices are focused on NFL-game combinations; arbitrary mixing with unrelated channels is not promised. A four-game layout may also change as games start, end or lose eligibility.

Audio, full-screen viewing and picture quality
- Switch audio: select or tap the tile you want to hear. An active-audio indicator identifies the current source.
- Enlarge a game: use the TV’s Select/OK control on the active view or the mobile full-screen control.
- Return to Multiview: use Back on TV or the mobile full-screen exit control.
- Expect smaller tiles: four feeds make it harder to read score bugs and detail, especially on a phone. Watching one feed full screen gives the clearest picture.
YouTube TV notes that select older devices may offer fewer customization choices or lower picture quality. A newer supported streaming device can be a better solution than trying to force four feeds through aging hardware.

Why the Multiview option is missing
- Check eligibility: the current program may not be part of an offered Multiview combination. Look on Home under Top Picks for You or Watch in multiview.
- Leave unsupported delivery methods: switch from a browser or AirPlay to the YouTube TV app on a supported TV, streaming player or mobile device.
- Update software: install the latest YouTube TV app and device operating-system updates, then restart the device.
- Verify entitlements: confirm that your account includes the network, Sunday Ticket or RedZone add-on required for the selected feed.
- Check device age: older models may have reduced functionality or quality even when ordinary YouTube TV playback works.
- Try one feed full screen: if the composite picture is poor, use a newer supported device or watch the game alone.
If you bought Sunday Ticket but cannot find a particular game, that does not necessarily indicate an account problem: Sunday Ticket does not replace local, primetime or digital-only rights.
Is YouTube TV worth buying for Multiview?
It is a strong fit if you want local broadcast stations, cable sports networks, cloud DVR and an integrated television experience, especially for an NFL Sunday Ticket slate. It is less compelling if you only want RedZone, watch mainly on a laptop, lack the channels you need locally or require a genuinely arbitrary four-window desktop layout.
Prices are volatile. The official page captured for this guide displayed historical signals such as $82.99 per month for the Base Plan, $10.99 per month for Sports Plus with RedZone and $9.99 per month for 4K Plus, but those figures were captured about six months earlier and promotional offers shown there ended in March 2026. Check the live checkout page before subscribing. 4K Plus is not required merely to use Multiview.
Comparison candidates include NFL+ for mobile-focused NFL access, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, Sling TV and DIRECTV STREAM. Their channel lineups, local coverage and multi-game features must be checked separately; they should not be assumed to duplicate YouTube TV Multiview or Sunday Ticket integration.

Bottom line for game day
Use the YouTube TV app on a supported TV, streaming device or mobile device, start eligible content, and open Multiview from the on-screen controls. Expect up to four streams selected from YouTube TV’s available combinations—not any four channels—and make sure the account includes the specific NFL Sunday Ticket, RedZone or network access each tile requires.
