Heidi Klum celebrated her son Henry Samuel after he opened designer Lena Erziak’s Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 show in Paris on January 28, 2025. At 19, it was Henry’s first runway appearance—and Klum shared how proud she was as he took that first step.
Henry Samuel opened Lena Erziak’s Paris couture show
Henry made his runway debut at Hôtel Le Marois during Paris Haute Couture Week. Vogue Germany described the appearance as his first model job and runway walk; ABC News reported that he opened the presentation. The show was Lena Erziak’s Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 collection.
He wore two black looks: one with an open back and another styled with an oversized scarf. Hair stylist Alexander von Trentini kept Henry’s natural look, focusing on the texture of his locs. Vogue Germany also reported that a special Afro sponge was used backstage as part of the styling.
Heidi Klum shared her pride
Klum posted a video of Henry walking and tagged him and the designer, ABC News reported on January 29. Her caption read: “So proud of you Henry – Opening the Lena Erziak Haute Couture Show in Paris ❤️❤️❤️.” E! also reported that Klum said the appearance was unexpected and that Henry did well.

Henry said he was excited, not nervous
Speaking to Vogue Germany around the show, Henry said: “Ich bin mehr aufgeregt als nervös. Ich werde mein Bestes geben und versuchen, jeden Moment in vollen Zügen zu genießen!” In translation: “I’m more excited than nervous. I’ll do my best and try to enjoy every moment to the fullest!”
He said he was proud that Erziak had selected and asked him to walk. Henry described doing little to prepare, though he changed his normally dark nail polish to a more neutral shade before arriving in Paris.

He also shared a runway tip from his sister, model Leni Klum: “Leni hat mir geraten, meinen Blick geradeaus zu richten und so zu laufen, als würde ich ein Buch auf meinem Kopf balancieren.” Translated, Leni advised him to look straight ahead and walk as though he were balancing a book on his head.

Henry’s Paris walk was his runway debut, but later appearances took him to other fashion capitals. GQ reported that he walked in Kith’s New York show on August 17, 2025, describing it as his second fashion show at that point. Klum attended and told GQ that he walked “like a pro.”

On February 28, 2026, Vogue Germany reported that Henry walked for GCDS in Milan, calling it his Milan Fashion Week debut and recapping Paris as his first runway show. The chronology is distinct: Paris for his first runway appearance, followed by New York and then Milan.
