Why company bankruptcy figures are not his personal net worth
The Weinstein Company Holdings LLC bankruptcy concerns a company debtor. Its assets and liabilities belong to the corporate case and should not be added to or subtracted from Weinstein’s personal finances as if they were his own balance sheet. The company’s bankruptcy figures therefore do not verify either personal estimate. U.S. Trustee Program case information.

What reported financial figures do—and do not—show
The former Manhattan townhouse
Fox Business reported in 2020 that Weinstein’s former Manhattan townhouse sold for $10 million in November 2017. That historical sale price does not show how much of the proceeds he retained, whether he owns property now, or his current net worth. Fox Business report on the townhouse sale.
The disputed $45 million loan guarantee
The Associated Press reported in 2025 that Weinstein alleged he had personally guaranteed a $45 million loan in 2016 and sued to avoid liability. The reported allegation was contested in litigation; it does not establish that he currently owes $45 million or that a final judgment imposed that amount. On September 23, 2026, the Associated Press reported that Weinstein was sentenced to 15 years in New York for the 2006 sexual assault of a TV production assistant. The report also notes that his earlier New York conviction had been overturned in 2024. The sentence is legal context, not a financial disclosure, and it does not supply a net-worth figure.
