Haley Kalil said a private physical-compatibility problem was the “biggest factor” in the end of her marriage to former NFL player Matt Kalil. During a November 2025 Twitch livestream, she said the issue lasted throughout the marriage, made intercourse painful, and led the couple to try therapists, doctors and other remedies.
Those details are Haley’s account of an intimate relationship issue, not an independently verified medical finding. The former couple’s divorce filing cited “irreconcilable differences.” Matt later sued over the disclosure; a September 2026 report said a judge dismissed the lawsuit, while his lawyer planned an appeal.

Haley discussed the marriage during a November 2025 Twitch conversation with streamer Marlon Garcia. According to reports by AOL, Us Weekly and CNN Brasil, she described an intimate physical-compatibility problem as the decisive issue and said it had been present for the couple’s entire marriage.
She said intercourse could be painful and that she and Matt tried therapists, doctors and other approaches. She presented the problem as the “biggest factor” in the breakup, but that is her personal explanation rather than a finding established by court records or independent medical evidence.

What she said about Matt Kalil’s size
AOL reported that Haley typed the subject on her phone rather than saying it aloud. She then confirmed that the problem had existed throughout the marriage and used a comparison involving “two Coke cans on top of each other, maybe even a third.”
The comparison has been widely repeated because it is unusually explicit. It remains an attributed statement from Haley’s livestream; no source in the available reporting independently measured or medically verified the claim.

Was sex the reason Haley and Matt Kalil split?
According to Haley, the physical issue was the marriage’s “biggest factor.” That explains her later comments, but it is not the wording used in the divorce filing. The formal filing listed irreconcilable differences, a broad legal category that does not identify a particular private cause.
Her broader descriptions also point to a relationship that was more complicated than the viral clip. In January 2024, she said they had married very young, did not initially understand what marriage required, and eventually chose friendship. Her November 2025 follow-up said the livestream had included the love, growth and depth of their connection, not only the intimate detail that spread online.

Why Haley said the viral clip was incomplete
In a statement quoted by Us Weekly, Haley said, “I care deeply about respecting his privacy and the integrity of what we shared together.” She also said, “It’s unfortunate that only one fragment is being amplified because it doesn’t capture the full story of how meaningful things were to me.”
That qualification matters when interpreting the clip: she identified the physical problem as a major reason for the divorce while also saying the marriage contained meaningful affection and personal growth.

What happened with Matt Kalil’s lawsuit?
Matt’s allegations
Matt’s January 2026 complaint alleged that the livestream disclosed intimate details, invaded his privacy and subjected him and his family to unwanted attention. Us Weekly reported that he sought damages exceeding $75,000.
Haley’s response
Haley’s lawyers asked the court to dismiss the case and argued that she was speaking autobiographically about her own body, life and marriage. They also raised First Amendment protections for her account.

Reported court outcome
On September 17, 2026, Just Jared reported that a judge dismissed the lawsuit. Haley said, “I am so relieved this is over.” Her attorney Matthew Bialick said the court dismissed every count and argued, “No woman should need her ex-husband’s permission to tell the story of her own marriage.” Matt’s lawyer said the defense intended to appeal, so the reported trial-court dismissal was not necessarily the end of the dispute.
