For YouTube specifically, StreamYard’s help article says the platform has no stated broadcast-duration limit there, but only the last 12 hours will be recorded. That is about the destination’s live-session duration and recording retention, not the length of a prerecorded file or whether StreamYard loops it.

Compare the actual need, not a broad “streaming limit”: source-file duration, live session duration, recording retention, simultaneous streams, storage, scheduling, resolution, watermark, destinations, and billing term are separate questions. What each service means for a documentary channel
Choose Gyre if the channel must keep a playlist circulating
Gyre’s vendor-described workflow aligns with a documentary channel that wants a continuous playlist rather than a series of individually scheduled broadcasts. Gyre says its streams are sent from its servers and that it uses YouTube channel authorization and the YouTube API; that is Gyre’s description of its implementation, not an independent assessment of YouTube policy or stream reliability.
A looping setup does not guarantee monetization, audience growth, recommendation placement, or uninterrupted uptime. The cited product claims do not independently establish those outcomes. Before scheduling documentaries, make sure you have the rights to stream every film, clip, soundtrack, still image, and other included material, and review current YouTube rules for live streams and monetization.
