Gwyneth Paltrow reportedly declined the idea of a polyamorous relationship, calling it “not for me” while adding that she had “no judgment” of people who choose one. Her response came in an Instagram Story Ask Me Anything reported in March 2024.

What did Gwyneth Paltrow say about polyamory?

In contemporaneous coverage, an Instagram follower’s question was quoted as: “Have you ever considered a poly relationship?” Paltrow reportedly replied: “No thanks!” and then clarified: “Not for me but have no judgment. I’m a one man kinda gal.”

People reported the exchange on March 30, 2024, and The Independent covered it on April 1, describing it as an Instagram Story AMA while Paltrow was traveling. Because the Story was ephemeral and the original post was not independently inspected, the wording here is attributed to those reports.

Does “not for me” mean Paltrow was criticizing polyamory?

No. Her reported answer states a personal preference and explicitly adds “no judgment.” It should not be read as a general argument against polyamory or as a claim about anyone else’s relationship.

What does polyamory mean?

The Independent describes polyamory as a consensual non-monogamous relationship style in which people mutually agree to have multiple sexual or romantic relationships. That mutual agreement distinguishes it from infidelity, which does not involve the same agreement.
