In an interview published January 5, 2024, Blanchard told Entertainment Tonight that she had no reservations about having children someday. She said she and Anderson had talked about starting a family, but did not know when. She also described her life at the time as hectic and said they were taking things day by day.
The comments came shortly after Blanchard’s release from prison in December 2023. She and Anderson had married in July 2022, while she was incarcerated, and were beginning their life together outside prison. In the January interview, she framed having children as a possibility for the future rather than an immediate step.
What did Ryan Anderson say about their timeline?
Anderson spoke about the subject in an Extra interview published January 11, 2024. He said starting a family was “always the goal,” while adding that the timing was “up in the air.” His answer supported the same distinction Blanchard made: they had discussed children, but had not set a date.

Why the headline is now dated
The January interviews concerned Blanchard’s then-marriage to Anderson. By May 30, 2024, ET reported that Blanchard and Anderson had separated and that she had rekindled her relationship with Ken Urker. Blanchard also discussed regretting marrying while in prison. The earlier comments about having children with her husband should therefore be understood in that original context, not as an account of her present relationship with Anderson.
Later coverage shifted to Blanchard’s family with Urker. A&E’s March 6, 2025 profile reports that their daughter was born on December 28, 2024. That later development is separate from what Blanchard and Anderson said in January 2024.

An Associated Press profile published January 2, 2024 independently reported that Blanchard eventually wanted children with her husband, while the timing remained uncertain. Together, the contemporaneous accounts establish an expressed intention to consider starting a family someday—not a pregnancy announcement or a scheduled plan.
